    Diatomaceous earth for fleas?

...or another, so I guess it's the fleas' turn now :ohwell: So I'm wondering, what is your experience/recommendations regarding Diatomaceous earth? I have the food grade. My concerns are that even though "the internet" says it's non-toxic, there are lots of reputable sources and vets that...

    Introducing Betty White

No diatomaceous earth in Feline Comfort. It's sort of a super set of a few of their other products: pet flora, super enzymes, psyllium, and slippery elm. Feline Comfort I'll see if I can sneak a little into dinner. She should be hungry enough having given back lunch.

    Diatomaceous earth for fleas?

You shouldn't put it on the dog. In that situation, you are right. The stuff is worthless. Diatomaceous earth works slowly, by abrasion. It causes fleas to dehydrate and die from lack of water. The way to use it is to spread it around areas where fleas are known to live. You must also use...

    Diatomaceous earth for fleas?

Excellent response! Thank you 👍 All the cats minus one are indoor only. I, myself, am of course indoor/outdoor, so I or visitors may be bringing them in as well. Tell you the truth, I'm kind of suspecting some used pet bedding I got and probably failed to clean properly before using it. My...

My cat is scratching and howling after Revolution Plus dose

I wouldn't use the Diatomaceous earth. I had a cat that developed chronic rhinitis after I used it. If you look at it carefully under a microscope you see that it is tiny little crystals with sharp points. If a cat inhales them, it is bad. I know allot of people use it without incident, but I...

Be sure to treat your home as well. Vacuum daily, especially along baseboards. Sprinkle diatomaceous earth under furniture and appliances to deter and kill any under there. You can also sprinkle it on sofa cushions overnight, then vacuum the next morning.
