I've been using AdoredBeastGutSoothe and highly recommend it! FelineGutSoothe | AdoredBeast Apothecary
There's also this PEA that's supposed to be good as an anti-inflammatory as well. PEA for Cats - Two Crazy Cat Ladies
Thank you so much 😺...
We have just started using felinegutsoothe. He does not really like it, walks away from his bowl, but then eats over night...
I will look into PEA for cats, unfortunately not available in the UK...and after Brexit it is so difficult to buy products from overseas ...
I...
AdoredBeastFelineGutSoothe, do you use this product?
Please help! IBD senior cat, but all meds cause severe diarrhea
Diaheria is a puzzle I am still try to solve(formy cat)!
...nulo turkey duck which has lots of gums. She was getting diaheria and throw up 1-2x a day til she was put on medacine. Still had some trouble so now she also takes the probiotic adoredbeastfelinegutsoothe alternated with love bug. She's back to her old self. Fortiflora made her go diaheria
When my boy gets runny poops, we give him human Culturelle, about 1/4 of a capsule mixed with his wet food twice a day. You can also give saccharomyces boulardii. FelineGutSoothe or Healthy Gut by AdoredBeast Apothecary may work for you. You can also try making slippery elm bark syrup. Bring...
Hmmmmm, perhaps you could try GutSoothe | AdoredBeast Apothecary and Nordic Naturals - Pet Omega 3 fish oil. My cat had inflammation throughout his entire colon along with blood on his poop which later turned into rectal prolapses. His internal medicine specialist put him on those two...
I just started using AdoredBeastFelineGutSoothe. My cats like it. The pre pro biotic is supposed to help with diaheria, inflammation, lethargy. Too early to tell but so far no diahrea, lethargy,or throwing up
This is so true!! I totally agree with @lisahe . If you start with anything from AdoredBeast, start with a much, much lower dose than recommended. We've had GutSoothe since July or August and we still cannot give the recommended dose because it will cause a blowout. We have added Proviable DC...
Yes, this is all too easy to do, particularly with so many various pro- and prebiotics in foods these days. This is one of the reasons I took our cats off all their commercial raw foods last summer: sorting out what's where in what quantities would have been nigh on impossible, given the cats'...
Poor Lucy! I’m so sorry to hear this!
You’re definitely doing the right thing by having her vet checked - let us know!
Morgana has an issue with constipation too - she had to have a blockage removed as a kitten and the vet warned it may continue to be an issue since it’s happened before. She...
I have S. Boulardii and Slippery Elm Bark on hand. My cat refuses to eat SEB (somehow she manages to leave it on her plate even when it's a liquid on her food!). In your experience is FelineGutSoothe better than those two? I saw on the AdoredBeast site that people rotate several products so...
Thank you soo much for the adoredbeastfelinegutSoothe recomendation, I will definitely read into this some more.
As for the fibre, i currently have been giving Protexin cat pro fibre as recommended by the vet. I'm trying to give this furry guy the best chance of getting better. I've never...
We have been doctoring Simba, our old guy estimated at around 23, for Hyperthyroidism and weight loss, and he is improved, but at times still will vomit we think from that or maybe eating too much too fast (he has no teeth), plus we are using different foods, but I searched on here and saw...
Did she get better being on both a medication and probiotic? Or the probiotic alone? I hate to keep mine on meds forever. He's already stuck with his thyroid drugs.
Is the one you give with any poultry or fish? Does she take it just on her food or down the hatch?
Thanks!
I've never used S. Boulardii so can't comment on that. In our experience, slippery elm bark can be very helpful (if a cat will eat it, which ours does) but it's just one ingredient. FelineGutSoothe includes SEB plus other ingredients to help ease inflammation, plus probiotics, too. It's helped...
Per this thread, IBD-allergy tests (post #11) AdoredBeastFelineGutSoothe is recommended by some IBD Groups, and is available in the UK. It is a pre/pro-biotic.
As far as a fiber supplement, are you looking for something like psyllium husk? That should be readily available there, I would...
It's so interesting how much this can all vary! And how much can be oddly similar, too. If I remember correctly, it took about two months to get each cat up to a full dose of FelineGutSoothe. (I didn't do it simultaneously, thank goodness!) It was really worth the effort for both: Edwina now...
That sounds similar to what Cosmos has been going through. Hopefully the vet will have some more answers when you pick her up. Multiple purse strings, him not being able to poop with them in, etc. He was also put on Lactulose to try to soften the stool to pass through the purse strings. Per the...
