...levels so she said I could stop the liver medications but she hasn’t had bloodwork since then. And I haven’t been told to put her back on denamarin since she came home from being hospitalized in July. She came home with a month’s worth which I finished but despite these ultrasound results I’m...
You are very welcome. One of mine took a different brand of a product just like denamarin for years, and his liver enzymes stayed normal for years. I hope it's helpful for your cat if you decide to give it a try. ❤
I stumbled across this article after reading your post - Denamarin vs. Milk Thistle: 2023 Comparison and Key Differences (pet.reviews). Maybe it can be of some help to you while you wait on other members' input. Until then, perhaps you'd like to peruse through previous posts about each of these...
I'm taking notes on these tips. I have never heard of , nor been offered Denamarin, it sounds like it is definitely worth trying. I'm sorry that your cat has hyperthyroidism, but I am glad to hear that she is tolerating the methimazole well. Thanks for the Denamarin tip.
While I don’t use the probiotics Abby does take their Dasuquin and Denamarin. My only issue has been having a harder time finding the Denamarin during Covid, like many other products. The also make Cosequin which many cats take. They are a fairly reputable company.
Oh, should add, that I am administering the Denamarin now ( I was not home previously) and Alfie is tolerating my nightly interruptions without too much upset.
...you for your response. I will check out the link for cat only vets. We do have one about a half hour away from us. I forgot to mention the denamarin in my original post but she was sent home on the denamarin and took it for 2 weeks or so until it was gone and her bloodwork since then...
Hi, for my angel Poppycat we had to give sub-q fluids at home. Another med was denamarin for liver support and then we switched to milk thistle.

I'm not familiar with Elura. Maybe I should ask the vet about it on Monday when she calls me back about the Denamarin and Ursodiol. I'm still thinking about looking for a new vet.
Thanks again for your help.
She's been on Denamarin since early Nov and had a bloodtest a month+ after starting, plus had bloodwork before her dental (just over 2 months being on it). The denamarin is given about 3-5 pm each day and make sure she doesn't eat 1 hour after or 2 hours before giving. I use just enough pill...
