I am sorry, I don’t have experience with that medication in cats, other than with oralsquamouscellcarcinoma. As far as I know, the drug is well tolerated in cats.
No tumor in the jaw bone, no jaw bone anymore.
Luke has squamouscellcarcinoma (oral). It grows fast in size but is slow to spread into other types of tumors. other face parts doen't "have a tumor" it's just a plum sized tumor in his face where the other parts should be.
Hi @__caitlin !
Most oral tumors seem to be squamouscell types. While you wait for replies here, you might want to post the same question to the Facebook community formed just for this: Feline SquamousCellCarcinoma.
Hope that may help.
My cat passed away from oral cancer, squamouscellcarcinoma under the tongue. From noticing his first symptom of little saliva by his mouth, to not being able to eat, was just six days. It was a terrible shock how he became so sick in such a short time.
...I made an appointment with a dental specialist 4 hours away. We're going tomorrow.
I have a suspicion that this is oralsquamouscellcarcinoma. She does not have bleeding or drooling, though.

...mouth pain. They noticed a red, painful lump on her gums on the same side the abscess was on. They said it was possibly oralsquamouscellcarcinoma OR another abscess. They sent us home with a Convenia injection and buprenorphine and told us to wait three weeks.

My cat, in my avatar, had oralsquamouscellcarcinoma, she had it under her tongue.
I had her quickly and promptly booked for a complete course of radiotherapy followed by chemotherapy.

...not continuing on with treating anything which would require the removal of the mandible. I lost a cat years ago to oralsquamouscellcarcinoma and even the biopsy left her in extreme discomfort. Oral cancers are fast moving and aggressive and you provided great love and care for Sonic just...
I love that we cat-owners need to choose our plants based on the fact that our cats will eat them. Yes, our plants are cat-safe. We generally do not bother with deterrents. In this case we have a diluted neem oil-based spray that we're using to treat scale on some of the plants. It is...
I’m so sorry for your loss. About 9 months ago I lost my 12 year guy to oral cancer. He declined in less than a week. He was still wanting to eat just like your Larry, but was unable to. My vet didn’t do a biopsy but told me it was most likely squamouscellcarcinoma because it grows very fast...
I didn't think I would shed actual tears, but I have.
Thank you. He was a great kitty. I keep half expecting to go into my room and see him on the bed. Alas, that won't happen.
I didn't think I would shed tears, but I did. I cried for the first time since 7th grade. I didn't even cry when I...
How well did the treatment work?
We did the CT and PT scans today.ctumorvis massive. Most of my kitties left jaw, sinus , cheek tissue, nerves, part of the pallette is all destroyed by the tumor. Didn't spread to the bone, destroyed it

My Lola (my avatar) had the same kind of cancer, under her tongue.
I noticed that she would drop some kibbles every now and then, the vets said it was a gingivitis, but after a couple of weeks I found a drop of blood on the floor and noticed that mass under her tongue. The diagnosis was a shock...
Dear Friends,
As some of you may remember, my beautiful cat Holly was diagnosed with oralsquamouscellcarcinoma back in February. She went through mandibulectomy surgery in March and was recovering super well.
Unfortunately the cancer is back. We have been lucky to find good doctors willing...
I lost her father to oralsquamouscellcarcinoma about a year ago. Her chin is getting bigger and bigger. I was thinking it was just acne.
I bottle fed her and her two brothers. Trapped and brought in the mother and father later. I see cats living 17-21 years now, but I have not been so...
Oct. 30th, I didn’t know this would be his last night with me. He had just been diagnosed with SquamousCellCarcinoma under his tongue on Oct. 28. This is the first time I noticed his tongue moving to the side with drool, as he yawned. Pts on Oct 31st.
Lymphoma is possible in the throat, but I should not have assumed that (sorry). To try to 'redeem' myself :paranoid:, I did find these articles -

I don't have anything to offer other than support from a distance. My boy was diagnosed with oralsquamouscellcarcinoma October 2021 and it was deemed terminal by multiple specialists. It's tough. I wish you the best with the time you and Holly have left. My only advice is to photo and...
...sessions of aerosol.
The hair on her face grew back, only grey instead of black, as you can see in the avatar. She left me in 2017, aged 17 years.
My suggestion is to have the full treatment done. Who knows? maybe another miracle can be possible 🤞
Lola's fight with oralsquamouscellcarcinoma
A friend of mine's cat was just diagnosed with oralsquamouscellcarcinoma. This is about 2-3 months after a dental cleaning. As I was researching the disease, I've found a few more reports where someone's cat was diagnosed with mouth cancer shortly after getting their teeth cleaned. I know...
