Litter help! Looking for low dust

I use clumping grass litter. There’s no dust although it tracks a lot because it’s so lightweight. SmartCat is great but pricey. I use Abound which my local grocery store carries. (It’s a Kroger-owned store but a different name.)

    Allergic to litter? Please advise

Both my assistant and I are coughing and sneezing a lot. There is a strong vibration from radio-frequency on my home. We had tinfoil on back French doors and took it down. The coughing and sneezing is worse. I have a new cat but she does not shed at all. I am using Tidy Cats lightweight...

What's your process for cat litter?

Hi there Good question and when I brought my kitty home I was wondering how to dispose of waste most effectively and safely. I definitely didnt want kitty excrement flying around in our communal waste🙀. I have only one cat and this is the routine which now works for me: If I‘m home when she uses...

ISO Good Cordless UPRIGHT floor Vac

Please move to proper thread. My cheapo upright cordless vac needs to be replaced. You get what you pay for sometimes. Any idea on a lightweight upright cordless rechargeable vac that doesn't end to scatter the litter over hardwood floors?

    Asthma Looks Like Hairballs

I know I am late to the game but tidycats lightweight is deffinatly a trigger for Indy. When I used it she would have attacks a couple times a week. I use arm and hammer now and she no longer has them as often. I was kinda lucky when she actualy had an attack at the vet clinic. Vets confirmed...

    Asthma Looks Like Hairballs

I adopted a cat that came from a foster home using Pretty Litter. I use Tidy Cat Lightweight. Now he has asthma. Is it the litter?? (He also needs to lose weight and we are working on that.) If the litter is aggravating it, I guess I need to change, but to what? I also have a rescue cat that was...

    Asthma Looks Like Hairballs

Hi I'm just going to post this video. This is what my cat did for years and I always thought it was hairballs like the creator does. What made me realize it wasn't was switching to lightweight litter and the dust pushed these attacks into overdrive. What cat asthma looks like

    Need asthma help

I use unscented scoopable grass seed litter - the SoPresh brand from Petco. It is essentially dust free. The only disadvantages are that it is rather expensive and it tracks a lot (it is very lightweight).

    Asthma from stress?

Will the vet do a housecall? Indy has asthma but she LOVEs people. I found lightweight tidy cats litter was a trigger for her. I use arm and hammer now and she is fine with that. Asthma was confirmed by the vet when she was at the vet for a bladder infection and had an attack right in the...

    Litter reviews

I used to use Maxx scoop and it was the best litter i ever used but then they stopped making it. Clumped well, controlled the oders without smelling like a perfume department just good overall. Then i tried tidycats lightweight which was an asthma trigger for Indy and the dust clouds from it...

    Cat litter

I have used “ World’s Best Cat Litter “ for many years. I use unscented, but there are scented options. It is made of corn. Lightweight, clumps easily, and most importantly- no dust!

Having trouble getting new kitten to poo in litterbox

...to experiment with more litterboxes and different litter. I've been experimenting for the past 18 months - at least I've found a lightweight litter which suits my budget. But my cats are still not 100% convinced, hence the clay litter. At least it's preferable to the cats going outside the boxes.

    Dust and fragrance free litter

I've used Okocat, too. It clumps well and isn't dusty. It does track quite a bit, but then, don't they all! The Super Soft that @Astragal14 mentions is very fine. They have one that's a bit coarser as well as two kinds of pellets. I haven't used any of those. I'm currently using clumping grass...

    Munsys 1st pregnancy and last

I would use a pellet type litter like yesterday's news for kittens since they may try to eat it. Tidy cats lightweight isnt a great litter imo. Indy had asthma attacks on it and it stained my washing machine and water heater (litter box is in the laundry/utility room). I use arm and hammer...

    Dust and fragrance free litter

When you used smart cat, how long did it last you? I’m ordering now and you are right about the price! It’s $30! It doesn’t give any info as far as expectations on life span of litter.
