My cat had given birth to 3 beautiful little babies. They’re currently 6 weeks old. Everything has been going well, but recently I’ve been having a problem with one. I’ve been weaning the little guys and 2 of them have been eating everything i set out for them no problem, but one of the kittens refuses to eat any of the wet food Ive been setting out. They seem almost scared of it. I’ve tried putting a little on my fingers and letting them smell it and I’ve tried hand feeding the food to them but they’re not having it. Momma isn’t nursing as often and that kitten seems a little skinnier than the others. I’m worried they’re not getting enough to eat. Am I just being impatient, or is there something else I should be doing? Any help would be great! thank you :-)

Try to entice it to drink goats milk.

On Sweden we often use minced meat from cows as first fast food for kittens.

In USA they often use Gerbers baby food. Turkey or chicken. The unflavored type.

You may need to offer the baby a bottle while he weans. They can wean at different times, as you see.

Would you like help finding a low cost spay and neuter clinic? Now would be a good time to make appointments for mom and babies.

There’s a low cost clinic near me I plan on taking the babies around 7 weeks to get their shots and what not before I adopt them out. Thank you for the advice!

I’ve seen the baby food mentioned a lot in threads like this, so I will try buying some. I’m not sure where I’d get goats milk but I will try looking for some soon if the baby continues to not eat. Thank you for the advice!

It's great that you have a low cost clinic near you! It's best for kittens to stay with mom and littermates until they are 12 weeks old, and for them to be neutered / spayed before they go to their new homes. If the clinic will neuter and spay at 7-8 weeks, that's great. Mom can get spayed at the same time.
