Hi! I am disabled and not yet on disability so money is tight.

My cat, Patch, is around 11-12 years old, and 13 pounds (a bit overweight). She has a very sensitive stomach and all dry food makes her vomit. Ever since I switched her to wet food about a year ago, she's been doing great, except for the fact that she never finishes it and doesn't seem to enjoy it very much.

I've only ever fed her the Friskies Pate Surfin n' Turfin variety pack of wet food, and I want to try some other options and see if she enjoys those more. But I picked the friskies variety pack because of its decent ingredients and good price (around $16 for 32 5.5oz cans) and I'm willing to spend a little more to find something she actually enjoys, but I just can't afford the options I've been looking into, which are more than a dollar per 3oz can.

So what would you all recommend for affordable, healthy wet food that's good for seniors? It doesn't necessarily have to be geared towards seniors, but she is up there.

Awww, what a sweetheart!!

Are you able to order a food such as Tiny Tiger, or Miko, from chewy . com?

Kroger stores have Luvsome and Pet Pride, and there's also Sheba you could try :)

If you have a Kroger nearby, their brand Abound is the same formulation as Tractor Supply's 4Health and is usually cheaper with the digital coupons. :)

Nothing wrong with Fancy Feast Classic if you're on a budget. One thing that may help with both finishing her plate and any arthritis an older overweight cat might be developing is to add wild salmon oil to her diet. I add 1 pump of oil to a 5.5 oz can and stir it well. Then I know for every 5.5 oz of food Krista is eating, she's getting 1 pump's worth of oil. My Krista is only 8 lbs so more than 1 pump loosens her stools. So in my case, I have to mix her food with food from a can that doesn't have oil added until we're closer to 1 pump per day again because she's eating closer to 1.5 to 2 cans per day.

I use fancy feast for gravy lovers .And my cat Snowball is almost 11yrs in July. And weighs little over 15 lbs.So I just started him on the fancy feast for gravy lovers. It comes in 24 (3 oz cans).I get mine off Chewy.com.But they sell in some stores too.I made a change recently cause ive learned alot on this site.Wet is better for weight control.I do feed a senior dry ( very limited amount)in the evening.(Extremely limited)

I like Nutramax, the company who makes this. They make good veterinarian quality products like Proviable and Denimarin. That said, that's a very potent formulation. Follow the weight guidelines. Maybe search the forums or post a thread about dosage recommendations for EPA and DHA so that you don't give too much.

Oh sorry. I was looking at the dog product. I didn't realize they had a cat product too.

For the cat product, the Grizzly oil will be more potent. I like that Grizzly also focuses on the ratio of omega-6 to omega-3's. I don't know if Welactin does the same. Grizzly FAQs are more detailed.
