Awwww...little Jack is adorable.

Gwen liked to lick plastic bag handles and any glass container with cold liquids inside. No glass of chardonnay was safe from her attentions...

Gwen also believed that everyone required a bathroom chaperone, and would be indignant if I didn't invite her into the bathroom with me every time, and wait until she sauntered down the hall to join me.

Gwen was also an enthusiastic head butter, and would mash her little skull into ours for ten minutes at a time to express her affection. However, since my husband was allergic to her, he taught her to do a 'fist bump' with her head instead, and she always remembered which greeting was appropriate to which human.

Juniper is full of personality but seems to have fewer quirky behaviors. She engages in fairly standard cat shenanigans like chasing her tail, extreme pickiness about food, and a love of Portuguese cream tarts.

Louie plays with the Cat Dancer all by himself.
He grabs one end and spins in circles chasing the other end.

I’m trying to teach Krista feeding times and not to wake me in the morning. So one morning my furry alarm clock goes off an hour (or two?!) earlier than my phone’s alarm. “Play dead. Don’t respond.” After what felt like an eternity, she finally quieted down. And then, oof! She climbed onto my chest and Sphinxed there! Another morning she sat on my head. This morning she pooped me out of bed! She used the litterbox alright. I just have unusually strong air currents flowing past it. There was no playing dead when the bomb squad has been called.

My Bourbon likes to lick plastic bags. She will choose it over her freshly opened can of tuna food.

My Barley only eats his kibbles when scattered on the floor.

Apollo has recently decided that my hubby and I should have the exact same work schedules. This is not something that has happened since before we adopted him in 2013. Lately he sits at the garage door complaining at me when he expects hubby to be home. He has a meow that sounds like he is is cussing at me. He will not let me pet him during this time. I end up sitting on the couch try to calm him down verbally until he gets tired of complaining and goes back to napping. I keep telling him his clock is broken and needs to be replaced.

Casey has decided that he requires lap time every time I use the toilet. He also insists on tub loving time in hubby's bathroom every night before bed. He rolls around in the tub asking for pets purring his head off. He only sheds in the tub so it looks like someone forgot to sweep the floor of a hair salon in our tub. Hubby actually cleans out the drain regularly in his tub so it does not get clogged.

Starbuck has decided that she prefers to sleep with her paw touching me. If I move around too much in my sleep I wake up with a cat on my head and a paw holding my nose. She also has decided that she should be an alarm clock if one of us does not wake up right after our alarm goes off. She will either walk on your face or sit on it until you move to turn off the alarm. She forgot about her alarm clock duties on Thursday and allowed my hubby to sleep through his alarm. I was already at work when he should have been waking up.

Sonny has decided he must drink out of the faucet in my bathroom when I am getting ready for work. I now have to brush my teeth in another bathroom so I do not spit tooth paste on him. He has also decided that if I take a long bath it is his job to use his paws to splash water in my face to make sure I am awake.

When we first moved here, I was busy unpacking boxes, but always took a break to let the cats in or out when they wanted. One day, in particular, they were running me ragged. I would no-sooner get back to unpacking when one would meow at the door to go out. As I rushed to the door, for what seemed like the hundredth time, I realized I was always letting "Mugsy" out, and not in. After I let him out (again), I went around and checked all my windows. He was breaking in, through the screens, only to run around and be let out again. And, each time he came in, he broke in through a different screen. The only screens he didn't break in through were ones he couldn't reach. I had to replace seven (7!) screens.

I named him, long before that, because of his little gangster face ("mustache" markings). After that, I thought, "Geez, what's in a name".

Oh, BTW, I had to put chicken wire over the windows to prevent further break-ins. Still there today. ;)

Kiki loves bananas. As soon as she hears me opening one, she meows and comes running.

She likes to be held while I eat. If I'm at the table, she'll jump up to my shoulders and sit there with her tail in my face.

She always steals my hair ties and hides them in random places. I've learned to keep them out of her reach, but then she learned to jump to those places.

She likes to play fetch, but only if she's in the mood to. And mostly when I'm in the middle of playing video games.

She has a fishing pole toy and does kitty acrobatics to try to catch the fish. One minute she wants to play, the next minute she's running away because I tried to pet her. Then she starts purring and lays on my feet.

Any new blanket has to be inspected. This consists of me laying out the blanket and Kiki sniffing and rolling all over it.

Groceries and shopping bags also have to be inspected. Sometimes its necessary to actually go in the bag.

My cat is weird :petcat:

When I go down cellar to get something out of the freezer, Maggie likes to hide on the ledge above the stairs, behind some coats hanging there. She pops out & grabs me when I come back up the stairs. It scares the pants right off me sometimes. :devilish:

One kitten wades into her water bowl or the water fountian up to her ankles (which I think of as her elbows.)
Then the other falls asleep with his tongue sticking out ... and sometimes sticks it out when he is awake. Then I saw the white kitten sleeping with his tongue out.

Dante likes to tear off chunks of paper, spit it out, then take another bite of the paper.

Last night, Geoffrey was on the top level of his cat tree, eyeing the ceiling.. then he proceeded to use the ceiling as a scratching post!!!!

I just saw him on the top level of his tree, chasing his tail, biting it!!!

No wonder his original name was: Goofy!

Fresca likes to jump on shoulders even though she's 5 years old. She's not a very big Cat so it doesn't bother me, but it startles the hell out of other people when she suddenly jumps on them while they're sitting down or standing near a counter or table. She will eat the handles off of plastic grocery bags and will chew on other kinds of plastic bags if there are no grocery bag handles to eat, so I always have to remember to put them away or throw them in the trash after I unload them. Nobody else remembers this though, so she gets at them a lot more often than I'd like.

Callie will eat paper if I'm late feeding them, but she will eat kleenex whether she's been fed or not if it's left out so it has to be kept in one of the cabinets above the kitchen counter so she can't get at it. I found that if I leave it in one of the lower cabinets she will open the door and drag the kleenex out. She will also sit on the edge of the counter in the main hallway downstairs, right at the corner next to the stairs going to the 2nd floor, and she will bat at people as they go past. She used to chase her tail then hiss and growl when she caught it.

Tortzilla is a klutz. She sometimes misses when trying to jump up onto a counter or table, she will end up hanging by her front paws meowing for a few seconds before falling off and trying again and sometimes it happens more than once. She will rub against things and knock them over, then act startled when they fall down. When she's hungry she will hover around my feet while I'm walking, and jump and swat at them as I get closer to the kitchen.

Ace likes to go outside and lick the pavement in the cat kennel.

Sam likes to sit behind me on the back of the couch and groom my head. He is also adorable when he hunts his dry food pieces, sneaking up on them. Oh, and he likes to scruff Ace during their play fights (this is not one of his more endearing traits).

Max "complains" when I am using tape, using almost the same dolphin/chirping noise he uses for prey. He also likes to have someone stand over him while he eats, likes to have me follow him around on their hands and knees, so he can face mark everything (and stop to head bop my forehead periodically), and likes to be held in a position where he can face mark my shoulder and/or lick my ears.

Fynn loves caves! So at night she taps on my chest where the blanket is touching my body, to signal me she wants me to raise up the blanket so she can crawl under it and sleep on my chest. She also likes to sniff everything and dip her paw into every drink she can. She also is a 'floor-dweller' and only likes string toys that are wiggling about on the floor.

Lily is more 'proper'. Very lady-like, but also a great huntress and caretaker. In the morning she has t clean my fingertips before I can leave to work. She also is very sensitive to emotions. If I am in a bad mood AND on the phone (often my mum, to either complain about life or she is pushing my buttons again :cool2:) she will bite me softly in the face or bite/sort my hair to make me stop taking/being upset

Multo would drag around a mitt, sock, whatever, and put it just behind the door. Then he'd go around to the other side of the door and attempt to pull the thing under and through. Then he'd go to the other side and do it again. Rinse and repeat! He'd also come to us with this low, self-pitying mow that he does when something gets stuck under the door and would try to lead us there to help him get it out.

Paisley loved chasing shadows and getting as high up as she could, no matter how dangerous it could be. She once tried to climb up the railing on the second floor, lost her grip, and fell... all the way to the first floor. She's fine, but shaken. You'd think she'd learn her lesson after that, but nope! We found her balancing on the top of the garage door when there was just a 1 inch ledge not a week later, and once found her stuck on one of those cypress evergreens. We still couldn't find out how she got up there!

Augustine has this thing for feathers. You can give him a feather toy, a feather mouse, etc. but he wouldn't care for the rest of the toy. He'd rip out a feather, and be on his way.
