Good morning.

:hellocomputer:

What colour is your hair? Do you dye it or leave it your natural colour?

My natural colour is a rather boring mid-brown, but I haven't seen that for many a year. I started using "Rinses" which were supposed to condition and tint it when I was in my early teens and I've never looked back.

These days it has light brown, blond and black streaks dyed into it and then a semi-permanent colour called "Dark Tulip" over that, so I end up with lots of red and purplish streaks

What colour is yours?

My hair is light brown with natural golden highlights. It's my natural color, which is funny because I was born with jet-black hair. It lightened considerably before my first birthday.

When I was sixteen, I did get my hair dyed lighter. I wound up not caring for it, so once the dye was gone, I vowed to keep my normal color.

Currently, I do not know exactly what my hair color is.

I had it colored a strawberry blonde; with extra blonde highlights.

I decided to grow my hair out, to see what the 'real' color is.
It is a miss-mash right now: Platinum silver, grey, with some of the blonde highlights left.
and short. Kind of looks like it has been frosted.

My hair is very dark brown, almost black, but when the sun reflects on it you can see some reddish tints. Now with a couple silver strands :D.

I've never dyed it or tinted it or permed it or anything. I'm sure I'd have to bleach it heavily for any colors to show up.

When I was born and also while very young, my hair was black. As I got older, it became lighter and became a mousy-brown. I've been coloring my hair auburn since I was 17 or so.

Now, if I'd leave my hair alone, it would probably grow out as white. That's not going to happen, not for a while yet. Right now, it's probably the color of a cherry Coke, maybe a bit lighter. There's definitely some red in there, esp if I'm out in the sun.

My hair used to be a medium brown with red and gold highlights. Now it is iron gray and white around my face. I tried dying it back to the original color, and it certainly was accurate and beautiful, but it was too messy and too much trouble to keep up, so I let it return to gray.

I was one of those humans that had light blond hair when I was young. I had blond hair till I was about 4-5 years old. Then it turned medium brown. It was a few colorful colors when I was in college  (although, never electric blue like one of my girlfriend's hair!), but then it returned to natural brown. But now it is lighter again... gray & brown. Well, mostly gray. sigh. I'm not one to color my hair, though -- too tedious in the upkeep! Plus, it's curly hair so it tends to get drier if colored and processed.

I was born with black hair and it eventually lightened to medium brown. I've gotten reddish highlights before because that goes with my natural hair better than blond and I've always had redhead envy, but I'm usually too lazy for the upkeep. I also find an occasional gray.

I had a perm when I was 14 because I also have curly hair envy, but it didn't come out well, so I stick with straight. Ah well, at least it's low maintenance.

My natural color when I was younger was a medium brown with a lot of natural gold highlights. As I got older I lost the natural highlights and it was a flat medium brown. At 62 it now has quite a bit of gray in it. I get highlights and lowlights all over. It ends up with about a third of my hair being a gold color, a third a neutral brown and a third natural.

I had black hair until my teens. It lightened up to a deep dark brown with red highlights. Now it's mostly grey, so I color it. Actually, as I'm typing this, I'm staring at a box of Clairol that's on my dresser to remind me that I need to do it.

I would like to dye my hair but I am partially disabled which would be one more difficult thing I would have to do. Going to the beauty shop so often to have it done is out of the question. My hair is gray and not a pretty gray. I would like to have it dyed light brown. Maybe one day after I have my surgeries.

My hair is a darkish brown colour and is curly (it's more wavy now, but when I was younger it was more on the frizzy side though as a very young child I had ringlets, which makes me somewhat jealous of my younger self as I love ringlets, haha).
I straighten it sometimes and since I've just had a lot of it cut off and donated to a local cancer charity, I also plan on dying it a mahogany red colour.

My hair is still its natural color which is a dark brown, with a few strands of gray. I barely have time to get it cut so a long time ago I decided I would not color it.

About 10 years ago my MIL told my husband that I colored m y hair too dark and it did not look natural. I thought that was hilarious.

It looks like I will take after my mom who, at 90, still has quite a bit of brown mixed with gray.

Ash Blonde. No, I don't dye it because I don't have any gray hair yet.

Dark brown, with some silver hairs. I don't color it (never have).

A long time ago, when I was in my twenties and my grandfather had a full head of silver (that is white and shiny hairs), I used to say that I hoped I had inherited the silver hair gene. Since I got my wish, I am *not* going to hide it.

When my hair was longer, it was chocolate brown with natural amber streaks. Very wavy/curly. Now it's quite short, (I cut it to a pixie and now I'm growing it out). When it was cut, it got very dark and the streaks aren't as noticable. I can't wait to see what it looks like when I grow it out again!

My hair is a medium brown naturally. I've done grey/silver, pink and blonde before. Right now I have it a slightly richer brown with a slight red hue and some blonde highlights. I've found a grey hair in the last few years... I know one grey, gasp.... so I am keeping up with it more.

This thread reminds me I need to make an appointment.

A grey color is trendy now, it's called greige. I have seen some pictures of it that I thought were pretty but it definitely has a lot of grey in it.

Simmilar to that actually. I almost never died my hair but recently died it four different shades- wine, pink, orange, red. It ended up looking like various shades of red and orangish and purplish red. Im going for a blue peekaboo after this grows out.
