Hi everyone,
So yesterday was a little crazy for us! The previous night we had boticed that Busters tail was constabtly down, he couldnt raise it and was crying if we went to touch it. We called the vets and got an appointment for the next day. We then thought it would be best to keep both of our cats in. When i got home yesterday to pick buster up Rey was holding up her paw with a little bit of a limp so i decided to take both of them to the vet.

Buster got seen and he needs to go back today to be sedated for stays but they refused to see Rey. Which really upset me.

I have another appointment for her today but i just was wondering if anyone has seen anything similar.
She is
Holding up her paw
Has a slight limp
Very lethargic
She can walk with it down on the floor though
Doesn't complain more than normal when i feel her leg and shoulder

Sorry for the long post i am now really worried about both of them. I have attached a picture of Rey and you can tell which is her sore leg/paw.

Thank you everyone

Rey could have jumped down and landed bad, or hit something that hurt her.

I have a couple of feral cats outside, one of them came home limping a few days ago, he was walking on three and would keep his left front paw raised. When he tried to put it down he would raise it right away.
I tried to feel his paw, I felt nothing, he didn't complain at all.
The next day he was much better and on day three he was fine and still he is, so it was a temporary and slight injury, painful in that very moment, but nothing that would prevnet him from walking 24h later.

How's Rey now? Any improvement?

Maybe she has an ingrown claw? JC gets these sometimes - she doesn't like to be inspected so we don't always catch them right away to trim them. She will limp and hold her paw up when this happens. Although, I don't think an ingrown claw would cause the lethargy. I hope she is okay.

She has been to the vets now. The vet examined her and had given her pain relief. If it carries on we have another post op appointment for buster that we can also take Rey to. Then we will see if she needs to have xrays or anything else.
