When ever I get up, say from my couch or bed or something and my cat is also laying down by me, she will get up too. Even if she is asleep! And then shell walk around tiredly until I come back, pick her up, and put her back on the couch with me and she will immidiently fall back asleep. Why does she do that?
Thanks for the answers!

Because she likes you. Cats will generally follow you around the house just to be with you.

Aww... That's so cute. My cat does that a lot as well, just not every time. Obviously, you are very lucky to have such a loving cat. With my cat, I think it's a combination of her loving me the most and also being a social creature. She wants to be where everyone else is at. Even though we've arranged a room for her with a velvet cat bed and all, she prefers to sleep in my parents' room, even if she has to sleep in a corner on the floor. Basically, your cat just wants company. How old is she and how long have you had her? Younger cats and one's who've recently been adopted can be a bit more clingy.

She’s a little over 1 and a half and ive known her since she was born, because my best friends cat had kittens so I saw her everyday. Maybe that’s why she’s so clingy! ❤

I get it all the time too. I step outside and suddenly there will be a cat at my side. Mornings and nights, Rocket follows me anxiously waiting for me to sit or go to bed. Link does to a lesser degree, he is less nervous in general though. I think it is because we are living safety and the source of good things. Comfort and security.
