Hey! I'm new to the forum and also a new cat owner! I have never owned a cat before and am super excited to bring home my new little girl next month. She's a CFA registered ESH born from a Persian mom and the most darling thing!

I'm loving all the information this site provides a new cat mom and I can't wait to share some pictures!

Thank you,
Renee

That's exciting! I can't wait to see pictures. If you have any questions, feel free to post, and I'm sure you'll get a response momentarily. Do you plan to show your Exotic? If so, we have a Showing and Ethical Breeding forum!

I hope to see you around TCS!

Thanks everyone! Yes, I plan on showing her, or at least, trying to. I'm 100x time more familiar with the dog world and how it works, so this has been a mind-trip for me, but a fun learning experience. I'm worried I'll just end up raising her and treating her exactly like my dogs lol and since I'm a groomer, poor girl is going to be tormented with upkeep.

Here are some pics!

She's a cutie gal.

Well, starting young will get her into the mood, at least for a neat upkeep

Congratulations she is beautiful. My "little" guys probably looked like your little girl whan they were kittens. Now they are 19 and 22 lbs and still only 3 years old. Lets see how big your girl gets.

Diet is very important for cats. Wet food is vastly better than dry and grain free is preferred. There is lots of good advice here about nutrition.

I haven't seen a thread here about the differences of rasing a cat vs a dog. But there are significant differences. For one, I find dogs generally want to be with people and want to please them. With cats you have to earn their affection and interest in you, making it that much more special when it happens.
