My babies aren't spoiled - last week I used a birthday gift certificate to get them the Drinkwell Platinum. Dharma thinks it's the best toy she ever saw!
I have a stroller as well but haven't been able to use it much. Both cats get pretty scared when we have to cross a busy street to get to a quieter walking path. Hopefully, I will be able to move to a place more "neighborhoodish" where traffic won't be such a big deal. I did take Seb in the stroller over to the local Plaid Pantry once. People there thought he was a scary-sounding baby until one man said "Siamese?"

You'll have to tell me how they like it!!!!
I was just thinking about the stroller thread yesterday!!! I still don't have one
Leya goes for walks like a dog does
But she walks SOOOO slow and she only lasts a block if it's hot outside 70+ degrees (can you guess she's an inside cat
) Oh and she gets chilly if it's under 65 degrees, so there's a pretty small window in which she would actually enjoy going for a walk.

I never thought about the traffic!
Enzo HATES cars!!! He freaks anytime I even take him outside if there is a car in sight. I don't think he would enjoy a stroller walk at all!

I finally bought the newest Kittywalk stroller, the Royale Classic. All I can say is wow! My cats love to hang out in there, it's gorgeous and roomy, and the quality is superb. There have been some trips to the vet which seemed less traumatic for them in this stroller, and a couple of walks for Isis. She had a great time. Definitely buy a Kittywalk when you do go for your first stroller.

I have the same problem as some of you. Fraidy cats. I know that this spring and summer I will attempt to walk them all in the stroller. I think this style is very good, because they feel enclosed and hidden in the back compartment. I also spray the stroller with an herbal calming spray before walks. You might try that as well. It seems to help.

Hey Darlili maybe we'll see you around Chicago with your cat stroller!

I bought a pet stroller very recently. It is called "Pet Gear Travel System Pet Stroller"."
They say it fits pets up to 15 pounds but I really loaded it down with stuff when I went to a cat show recently and it worked fine... It made getting into the show with all my stuff and cat very easy, I was so glad I had it! I also used it when I went to the vet, I was bringing two cats so I stacked my Sherpa bag on top of the stroller's carrier (fit perfectly).
I really like this stroller! It has a detachable carrier (where the cats go) with removable handles that can be used as a regular carrier and also used in the car, with a strap at the back that you can put the seatbelt through. It all folds up, the carrier part and the stroller part, so I can easily store it flat.
When I first bought the stroller, I put the carrier part together and then put my large older cat in it in the living room to see if she'd fit. She complained as I put her in but then she refused to get out! I had to leave the carrier on the living room floor for hours while she slept in it.

I got it on Ebay for about $40 with free shipping, but they usually cost about $100.
I'm taking TWO kittens to the Chicago Pet Expo next month, and their cat show is on the second floor (which you have to walk into the middle of the show to get to) so I know I will be very happy I have the stroller then! I also plan to take the kittens outside in it when it gets warmer, to help socialize them. The only downside to the stroller I picked is that when the kittens grow up they probably won't both fit in it together.
I considered the Kittywalk stroller, but I didn't like how the front part is so open and the way it's so low to the ground. I am probably going to get another stroller when the kittens grow up, and I'm thinking I'll get one of the Petzip strollers because I like how they look and they fit more weight so I could also use it for my smaller dog (25 lbs) if needed.

Just had to tell you all that I got my double decker Kittywalk stroller - on sale from Overstock.com. It actually came Wednesday, but I've been sick with a horrible cold with neither strength nor enthusiam to open the big box! But, tonight, finally, during Dr. Who, I put it together. I'm very impressed with how easy it was to put together and the apparent quality of the stroller...much sturdier than what I've seen in the stores and really a lot of room for the kitties to move around in. I also wanted the double decker since I've got two - and one's a big 13 pound boy. This particular stroller is supposed to manage 50 pounds, so I can take them both out at one time (don't want them to think I'm playing favorites!). I like the privacy section toward the back, and my two seemed to like investigating the carriers while I was putting everything together. I'm going to let them get used to it - and wait for the weather to get a tad better as well before we try our first run around the block.

Nekochan, your stroller sounds great as well, especially the folding part - I don't think I'd want to break down my double decker down a lot, but I've got Sherpa bags for my vet trips and I just wanted something to trot around Glen Ellyn with. I'm hoping to get to the Chicago Pet Show later this month - best wishes for your kittens!!!

Yeah I'm loving the stroller I got so far! If you come to the Chicago Pet Show, keep an eye out for us and our stroller in the cat show section!

I've noticed there are several strollers being sold which are take-offs of the Kittywalk. I saw one in a pet store the other day and at first I thought it was the Kittywalk stroller, until I looked at the tag... It was some other brand, and didn't look nearly as strong!

I'm glad you got one!!!! I know what you mean about playing favorites. The cats really seem to feel hurt if someone else gets to go outside while they stay inside

Thanks to the time change, it was still light when I got home at 6:15 this evening, and it wasn't too cold out and not windy at all. So, I decided to try our first little walk around the block. I think we only walked around for maybe 10-15 minutes, including my realizing there really are two little steps outside my condo's front door - much harder to navigate with four wheels and two kitties wondering what in the world was going on! But, so far I'm glad I got the double decker - these two are always checking each other out to make sure no one gets more loving or treats, and I'd hate to leave one behind. If it turns out one of them simply cannot stand going out, I can always take one carrier off and use it as a single stroller.

But, not too bad for a first try - my boy was quiet and just looking around, while my girl was pretty vocal, but not as bad as 'car trip to vet' vocal. At first they both retreated to the privacy portion of the carriers, but then moved forward a bit to look around (these Kittywalk strollers are roomy!) I figured I'll just do a little walk every nice evening to acclimate them, unless they totally run away from me when I get the stroller to the front door. But, when we got home, they acted pretty normal - didn't try to run away from the stroller, which is now gracing my front room, along with the cat tree. What we do for our kitties!

I've got to say I've got nice neighbors - two women were walking their fairly large dogs. As I got nearer to them, I'm sure they could hear my girl's 'talking' - both of them took their dogs the other way down the block, which I appreciated for our maiden voyage.

thanks for all your good thoughts - and any hints about strollers and kitties are much appreciated!

I took the kittens out (not together) yesterday to see how they would react to being outdoors, since it was so nice outside. They both reacted the opposite way to how I expected! I put the harness on and took them out on the front porch. When it was Church's turn, he freaked out and got scared by someone walking down the sidewalk, and tried to run and hide. The Maine Coon who I expected to be the one to be scared because she's usually more shy than Church just walked around the porch sniffing and checking things out...

I think they are silly, I wouldn't use one.

My aunt has one and takes her cats on walks. She has an outdoor enclosure they can play in, I don't see why they need to go out on walks since she has the enclosure.

I can see their use for trips to the vet when you have a heavy cat and don't want to carry them.

I think some people will give looks just because they don't understand why a cat needs a stroller. They don't get that it's because you want your cat to go outside and not run away or get hurt (as many many people still have indoor-outdoor cats), they think it's because you want to treat your cat like a human infant.

Adding to this thread. I just ordered a stroller off ebay for 49.99. I can't wait to get it and try it out. Comet is getting to heavy to carry all the way to the vet in his carrier.  And I want to be able to have him outside since I'm out so much.
