Hello 😊
I wasn’t sure if this was the correct forum for this post. If it needs to be moved, please let me know.
I posted here 11 mo ago when my baby went to the Rainbow Bridge.
It’s been a long grief process with a few “rays of sunshine”… meaning…about 2 months ago I started considering...
I’ve been in deep grief since Feb 1st at 1:10 pm – the day went sent Janie across the rainbow bridge. She was put to rest at home on the couch where my husband and I would sit in the evening with her and watch TV together for what we’d call “family time”. It was our last “family time” together...
Things are going well with Janie still. She is on a higher dose of Felimazloe for the past 2 weeks and eating well. She is due to go back for another thyroid blood panel next Thur. Hopefully this time her T4 levels are good and won't have to go back for a while. I haven't looked into any...
She has been a kitty that eats mostly wet food and rarely will eat kibble. I figured a little kibble isn't bad being she is eating 90% wet food AND she has always liked it when I add an extra bit of water to the wet food. So I believe she is pretty well hydrated.
I have been crushing them and mixing them into her food. For almost a year, I was crushing and putting her meds into Greenie's pill pockets until she decided she no longer was interested in them.
I will ask the vet when I see him next week what stage of kidney failure she's in. He said she's not at the stage for subQ fluids the last time she was seen. She is eating well (regular food that is)..... I really can't complain.
Yeah, I totally understand.....kitty needs to eat.... I make sure she is getting her daily caloric needs met. On days I work, when my husband feeds her, I'm always asking how much she ate. She does have hyperthyroidism and is on Felimazole. She's now almost 17 1/2 and doing pretty well...
I may just get the phosphate binder pills from the vet if that's the only way to help. I'm afraid to try another brand and be left with more cans of uneaten food. I'll probably just donate this batch to the local shelter if I can't sell in locally, cheaply to someone that needs it and has a...
Hello -
My vet recently prescribed Hill's k/d and my kitty liked it at first and now won't eat it. I tried mixing the food with her other food and tried putting chicken broth (no salt or added spices) but she still isn't interested. I put her back on her regular food. I imagine this is quite...
Feeby, Just a quick reiteration of what you brought to my attention further up in this post - I am going with the twice per day. 1.25 mg in the morning - 1.25 mg in the evening. I know the vet said once in the morning but there is just too much evidence online (legit websites/other vets...
