My vet said Fancy Feast and Whiskas products are the worst. The cat likes FF's Florentine Chicken and Chicken.+ Friskies wet Shredded Turkey. He gets alot of water from his fountain. Do chicken by products make the animal fat?

Hello LisaHE, we tried quite a few but not sure if we tried Nutro brands. Tynk likes Weruva's, Cats in the Kitchen chicken/pumpkin. I buy that on rotation for variety. Tiki brand is another one I could try as it was written about here or on another site. That one is a little hard to find...

is it ok to feed my male cat with urinary issues, Fancy Feast wet food such as chicken florentine or Friskies shredded turkey? He doesn't eat many canned foods. He had a blockage of crystals last summer and had catheter etc... my vet said these brands were the worst for a cat is this true...

I tried coconut oil but my cat just flicks it off his paw/coat and runs away. He will not eat it.

My cat always eats the neighbours' coarse ornamental grasses which are thick and tough. It causes him (cat) to vomit. I was wondering why he eats it.. he has cat grass at home.

Thanks, will look it up later. this Urinary condition has me bonkers! ... many things to monitor. My vet didn't mention anything about testing his urine at home. I heard you can get pellets or strips for this...

is Purina UR still available I haven't seen it in Canada and has anybody tried Vet's Best Urinary Tract tablets for the maintenance of the cat's bladder? I will continue to feed wet foods too. Royal Canin chunky stew and Purina Pro Plan UR formula in cans.

@ mrsgreenjeans, thanks for this new info. "Wild Calling" is a canned wet and kind of mushy (non-meatloafy in texture). No, WC is just regular wet food. My vet of course recommended Royal Canin SO and related RC products which she sells. This other vet was mentioned in yahoo groups...
