My vet said Fancy Feast and Whiskas products are the worst.
The cat likes FF's Florentine Chicken and Chicken.+ Friskies wet Shredded Turkey.
He gets alot of water from his fountain.
Do chicken by products make the animal fat?
Hello LisaHE, we tried quite a few but not sure if we tried Nutro brands.
Tynk likes Weruva's, Cats in the Kitchen chicken/pumpkin. I buy that on rotation for variety.
Tiki brand is another one I could try as it was written about here or on another site. That one is a little hard to find...
Thank you Columbine and foxxycat for those new links and tips.
My cat will not touch pate.. he loves that gravy. It is hard to get him to eat a good canned food. We tried many from expensive to budget. Trying to get him to eat more wet foods. Basically he eats Purina Pro Plan Urinary dry...
is it ok to feed my male cat with urinary issues, Fancy Feast wet food such as chicken florentine or Friskies shredded turkey? He doesn't eat many canned foods.
He had a blockage of crystals last summer and had catheter etc... my vet said these brands were the worst for a cat is this true...
he always vomits the whole thick blade of grass about an inch long.. it never makes it to digestion. It seems he likes the coarse stuff?
I'm not sure what variety my neighbour has but it looks like zebra grass. It grows very high in summer.
...removed all my landscape grasses from balcony...
my cat had crystals but no surgery. His vet suggested a special food.
Is it ok to feed Purina Pro Plan Focus urinary dry food and on occasion Prescription SO chunky stew.(likes alot, but expensive more small can)
It is very hard to get him off Friskies shredded turkey/cheese... he just really...
My cat always eats the neighbours' coarse ornamental grasses which are thick and tough. It causes him (cat) to vomit.
I was wondering why he eats it.. he has cat grass at home.
Thanks, will look it up later.
this Urinary condition has me bonkers! ... many things to monitor.
My vet didn't mention anything about testing his urine at home. I heard you can get pellets or strips for this...
is Purina UR still available I haven't seen it in Canada and has anybody
tried Vet's Best Urinary Tract tablets for the maintenance of the cat's bladder? I will continue to feed wet foods too. Royal Canin chunky stew and Purina Pro Plan UR formula in cans.
@ mrsgreenjeans, thanks for this new info.
"Wild Calling" is a canned wet and kind of mushy (non-meatloafy in texture). No, WC is just regular wet food.
My vet of course recommended Royal Canin SO and related RC products which she sells.
This other vet was mentioned in yahoo groups...
Royal Canin gets expensive over time and wanted a more economical route.
Tynk finished his RX bag of S/O dry and he likes their wet RX food. 24 small cans for $35 or $50 bag.
Yes I wanted to know if Wild Calling was a helpful product for his issues. And if it was a reputable company. If anybody...
Has anybody had good results feeding Purina brand, Pro Plan Focus-Urinary (dry) food instead of RX of Royal Canin-SO ?
any reviews on Wild Calling rabbit canned food? My cat is fussy and seems to enjoy this brand.
note: He had a blockage almost of month ago with IV treatments and bladder...
Recently my male 3 yr old cat was diagnosed with crystals/stones as he was blocked.
- Aug 4th and placed on IV and catheter for 4 days.
The RX diet is Royal Canin's SO dry and wet.
I was wondering if there is a more cost effective version of this diet? Any thoughts on Purina Pro Plan Focus...
