Unffortunately the only place she can be free from the dogs is the room she started out in. I will not force her to be in the comon area but my house is small. I can't force her to stay in the "room" either . I guess I will keep the litter boxes in both areas and let her decide.

I feed mostly friskies poultry pate.  I think it is a fairly good food.  It is in my budget.  I could do worse for sure.

Maybe that would be an option.  She doesn't eat dry food.  Except she gets 4 pieces of dog food when I put the dogs away for the night. She likes the treat.    I guess I worry that if I give her dry cat food that she won't want her wet food any more.   

I wouldnt have a problem with leaving dry out at night.  The dogs do not go into her room. I just don't want to get her started on dry and won't go back to wet.  I want her primarily on wet.  Now she eats mostly fiskies wet (morning, noon, after work and bedtime I do feed her 4  dry dog foodies...
