I recently adopted two young female rats, Oreo and Daisy. I was wondering if anyone has any tips on helping cats and rats co-exist.

What is the ideal location for a cat food and water bowl? Open, private? One of my cats seems nervous while eating. I have both of my cats' food bowls together, and their water bowls are in between the food bowls. They are in a high traffic area, close to the fridge, out in the open.

I am currently feeding my two male cats Iams cat food. One of them has food allergies and the other a sensitive stomach...the only food that has worked for both was Science Diet and now Iams. I know it's not the best...but is it a horrible diet for my cats to be on?

Would getting a third cat help?

He runs and hides. Sometimes, he will stand on his hind legs and use his front paws to massage Gremlin's back...which annoys Gremlin and causes a short fight.

I ran out of prescription eyedrops from my vet yesterday and was wondering if there was a cheaper, over the counter, option. I would be using them for the occasional herpes flare up.

Gremlin attacks Shawn often...when he is trying to use the litter box, sleep, eat. I don't think Gremlin understands when it is time to quit, because he was taken from his mom early and never really learned cat social cues. Any tips?

Yes, my cats are indoor cats. Though one likes to go on walks with a harness and leash.

What food would you recommend? Right now wet food is not really an option. I used to feed a can, each, once a day. I am a single college student. I switched from Science Diet to save money. I treat them for fleas monthly for a peace of mind.

With a recent $300 vet bill because of Shawn's (my cat) recent herpes diagnose and being retested for Leukemia and FIV and Gremlin (other cat) doing the same, I am looking to cut costs in anyway possible. Are there any flea treatments that treat internal parasites like Revolution but not so...

This might sound odd, but have you ever considered puppy pads? Do his joints hurt? Have you tried a litter box lower to the ground?
