With 16 cats currently in the house I guess I have an answer for ALMOST everything... Erik, one of our elders, LOVES plastic bags and whenever I get my supermarket delivery he'll be all over them - I watch out for the bags' handles though as in his enthusiasm he'd sometimes pull the handle over...

One of our older cats showed up one day, decided he likes our place and stayed for good, i guess someone must have dumped him... anyway the first 2 years though he'd selected us he'd always give me a taste of his mighty claws when i'd put his bowl in front of him so that i'd ask my husband to go...

I agree with P3 and The King! And with only one cat it shouldn't be a problem to have a bowl of food for her she can access any time she feels like it. I've seen mine leave the kitchen at Fancy Feast time - when they'd had enough and go groom themselves while others were still helping...
