Hello, I didnt know if I should post this in kitten care or here. I have a cat with kittens that are about 2 or 3 weeks old and a few days ago her sister became reallly interested in them. The mom cat shares a space with her 2 sisters and until now neither sister really cared. Anyways, one of...
She also uses the litter box that is available to her. The room she is in with the kittens she shares with her 2 sisters that she has been with since birth, do you think they are bothering her? They dont go near her kittens and they are very nice to her.
Hello, sorry for not being clear. It is an open kennel that she can enter and exit anytime. I just have them in a kennel to give her a safe space. I raised her since she was a kitten and she trusts me, she purrs when I pet her while she is feeding the kittens and she is fine with me handling...
Hello I have a young mom cat, this is her first litter and mom is around 8-10 months old. The pregnancy was not planned by any means and if it could have been avoided I would have. Anyways, she has 4 kittens that she takes care of well but, she pees on them. Idk if its on them or shes just...
I have recently gotten 2 kittens that are around 4 or 5 weeks. I have been feeding them wet cat food (I cant get kitten food where I am right now) mixed with kitten formula because they will not take a bottle and Im assuming theyre old enough to begin eating food anyways. My question is, how...
Hello - he is not weak at all, just stubborn. I've found that if I fuss with him long enough (like 30 minutes) he will eat how much he is supposed to, but he just has this weird habit of "nursing" on my hand instead of the bottle & crying when I make him stop.
I was confused because it was so...
To clarify, he will occasionally latch onto the bottle but I do stop him a lot because of the multiple previous incidents where he has almost drowned himself. I know it probably interrupts him but there's not much else I can do.
Helloo
So I'm raising a kitten, he's a little over a week now and everything has been going fine. There have been some really big problems with feeding him previously, he always sucked on the bottle too hard and milk came out of his nose or got in his lungs. Yes, it was scary but I got him a...
I will try this thank you!! I rub him after each feeding but I don't really put him on my shoulder so I will start doing that as well
He has stopped crying as much whenever I'm holding him but he still has trouble falling asleep in his bed :( I can't find a ticking clock but I have a stuffed...
I have raised other kittens before, but he seems to cry a lot more excessively compared to others. It may just be his personality, but I'm just worried his stomach is hurting or something because he wakes up often to cry & has trouble falling asleep.
I will try using goat's milk if I can find it...
I have him in a warm basket w/ a heating pad, no worries !! We do not have those heartbeat toys near me though sadly.
Whenever I hold him, he does sometimes calm down a little but even when he is purring he's still crying, just a lot more quietly.
As I write this he is doing it, he just lays in the middle of his bed and screams/cries. Even when I pick him up or try to feed him he does it. Is he hurting?
