Thank you everyone for your kind replies and thoughts, very much appreciated!
I just send a message to someone about my grieving process during the last year, perhaps it could be of help to others so I thought I would share it here with you :)
"Yes, it has been over a year now since my cat...
My cat died today; I am in tears. I just buried her. I don't know the exact cause, but assume a combination of factors. There were many signs that she was seriously ill; she had stopped eating since a few days. It is strange how things can go, she walked through the garden this morning (although...
The vet saw her. She had no feeling in her left hind leg whatsoever. He said that it could be an obstruction due to a blood clot, and/or lymphedema. I have noticed that her left front pawn has swollen now as well, also the left side of her belly. She is old and very fragile so it could be many...
Hello, I noticed that my cat has a swollen hind leg. She already had trouble walking due to her old age, now it is even more difficult. She has heart and kidney failure for which she gets treated. I thought it could be retained fluid, as he has it in her belly, but it is on her left leg only so...
Hi, my cat has heart failure at an advanced stage. One of the problems is that she is having difficulty sleeping as the excess fluid in her body reduces her lung capacity as soon as she lies down. I noticed that she generally prefers to sit right up but then she can obviously not sleep. She is...

Nausea? I doubt it as she is eating/drinking well and no vomiting. I noticed that her belly is bloated like a balloon, while she is actually thin. So it seems something rather serious like cancer, heart failure or advanced kidney failure. Vet is coming over tomorrow to check her out.
Lost her...
Hi everyone,
I have a 19 year old cat. She is old but quite ok given her age; since a couple of months I give her Loxicom daily as she had recurring urinary tract infection and she also seems to have osteoporosis. She seems in better shape since she started with the medication.
Lately, I...
Sadly, I had her put down today at home; her condition seemed to worsen and it felt as if she no longer had the will to live. I feel absolutely horrible right now, mentally and physically devastated, it will be hard to get over this. I knew her so well and just loved her so much, she helped me...
Dear all, it's been about a month since I posted here and I would like to give you an update in case other people experience similar symptoms in their cat.
So my cat returned at the time and she was okay. Then gradually over the last couple of weeks she started deteriorating rapidly in the...
