A week sounds odd to me, too. It's always been a "while you wait" type thing for me. How much did your vet charge? I've paid from between $13 adn $26 depending on the vet and where he was located.
People have wierd ideas. Like the notion that you can make the baby sick by the act of cleaning the litter box. Not true, you can make the baby sick by cleaning the litter box and not washing your hands, then touching your mouth. And who doesn't wash thier hands after cleaning a litter box?? I...
I've seen big cans of brands like Innova, Evo, Felidae, etc, for $1.29 a can at Pet Supplies Plus and at the little store I usually shop at. The smaller stores will sometimes discount if you buy a whole case. I think my store knocks a couple bucks off the price.
Ever since I discovered Felidae, my cats have never looked better. It's not terribly expensive, but is darn good stuff.
However your vets drivel about SD is just that, drivel. Regurgitating what the sales rep says. SD is only marginally better than Cat Chow if you read the ingredients, but...
I like my spaghetti uncomlicated. I boil water with a few shakes of salt, toss the spaghetti in and cook until done. Drain, pour a jar of sauce (Prego, any variety except with mushrooms or peppers) on it, stir, heat a couple minutes, and serve! Ready to go in less than 20 minutes! I usually...
Oh I didn't neuter him just to try to calm him down. It was definitely mostly to keep him from spraying and all the other nice little behaviors that toms have. But I"m hoping that the calming down is a happy side effect! Today, you can't tell anything was even done. He doesn't act the least bit...
I asked at the clinic and they said that some cats just have bigger bits than others. But that it could be that he was producing more testosterone than normal. She said I should start seeing SOME difference in 2-3 weeks, and it could take as much as 6 weeks for the complete changes to be apparent.
Sunny is probably under anethesia for his neuter as I type. Or done. But anyways, how long does it take to know if neutering helped him calm down? I've had and been around countless cats in my life, including volunteering at a cat rescue center. And Sunny takes the prize for being the WILDEST...
I'd say it's just as good, if not better, than Max. My only issue would be the fish, but it's not a main ingredient (my cats don't get fish, except in ther Felidae dry- We do the chicken and rice wet).
If you're only going to be gone a short while I wouldn't take the cat. If he's not used to travelling it can stress him, and he'll probably hide while he's there. I wouldn't take him unless you're going to be there more than overnight.
My cats get one big bowl that I put thier dry food in (2 cups of Felidae lasts them a couple days) and then I have three separate bowls to feed thier wet food. They usually switch off and on though. One will start on one bowl, then walk away and another cat goes to that bowl, then the cat who...
I get the same crap all the time. I told a nurse at the hospital that I wasn't having any more and she said 'Oh if I had a nickel for every time someone said that and then ended up back here...' Well the difference is that I meant it and they didn't! 4 years later I'm still sure! A man has...
I always was my hands before/during cooking, and after cleaning a litter box or cage. But other than that, unless I actually get poop on me or something, I don't wash my hands. I pretty much just wash my hands when they are dirty. I'm almost never sick, my kid is almost never sick, my husband is...
