    Ear Cyst?

I have been fighting the flea fight for a very long time with one cat being particularly effective. I've tried all of the usual suspects including the soresto collar. Nothing is working. Today, the cat's ear is flopped over and appears to have a large colorless cyst(?) On the inside of the ear...

Is My Cat Going Into Labor/giving Birth Now

Go to tractor supply and get terramycin gel. It's like $18. Gently wipe with warm wet cotton ball twice a day. Then apply. Do it for ten days. It should look better in a day or two.

    Soupy Poopy Saga

Thanks furballsmom! I will ask when we go. The vet gave me a probiotic but it's a pill and this kitten is the most stubborn kitten I've ever given a pill to. I found a liquid for dogs and that's what shifted us from constipation to diarrhea. I will let you know what the other vet says. I'm stumped!

    Soupy Poopy Saga

I have given it some thought and I think I will take him to another vet and ask him to do the PCR panel. I appreciate our rescue vet but I think this particular kitten needs more individualized care than the others. Thank you for the direction!

2 Year Old Constantly Licks Until He's Losing Fur And Scabbed

I wish I could say I knew. I only know that the potato and duck food worked. I see Jen feels very strongly about not feeding cats starch. She probably has a lot more scientific knowledge than I do. I'm not a vet or a chemist or a zoologist. I'm just an amateur with minimal experience that knows...

    Soupy Poopy Saga

Thanks. I don't think the vet did anything but test for worms. I think because we brought them through a rescue. I usually get the Purina grain free dry and wet kitten food. There are a lot of kittens and not much money. I thought about trying a special food for digestion but I cannot think how...

2 Year Old Constantly Licks Until He's Losing Fur And Scabbed

One of my cats, the dominant one, started over grooming when the other cat started going outside. The vet put her on Prozac which she refused. Took about 6 months but she stopped. That said, when dealing with skin conditions try the grain free potato and duck food which I think is a Blue...

    Soupy Poopy Saga

I'm at a loss and wondering if anyone has some input. One of my rescue kittens, three months old, suffered from constipation so bad that he had a constant unproductive soupiness about his bum. We dewormed. We used laxitives. We used correctol. We tried the pumpkin. We gave him infant...

Help! I Might Be The Worst Rescuer Ever!

Just an update. The Botfly goes to her new home today. Soupy poopy is no longer soupy (pumpkin) but still constipated. Another enema today. Mama is completely recovered and looking like a healthy house kitty. Going to try to get her adopted. The two healthiest kitties are still waiting for...

Help! I Might Be The Worst Rescuer Ever!

That is so sweet! Thanks for keeping us in your thoughts. This forum is a terrific resource! We are still dealing with bum baths every few hours but he's so sweet that it's well worth the effort! The one that was pooped on, the botfly kitty, is meeting her new family today. How rewarding to know...

Help! I Might Be The Worst Rescuer Ever!

Ok. So I gave soupy poopy bum an enema last night and was disappointed to not find any poop in the litter box in the crate. But after I feed them and put my glasses on I found the poop. His sister was covered in poop. He pooped all over his sister!
