Devastating Loss, Reflecting On The Situation...

I'm sorry for your loss. Cats hide pain really well, so a lot of times it's difficult to figure out if they're feeling unwell until they're *really* not feeling well. And if they exhibit symptoms, it can be a lot of different things. Please take care of yourself.

    Loss Of Cat

I'm so sorry about her passing. As others said, she may have had an undetected condition causing her passing. I'd imagine that it's doubly difficult for you because you didn't expect it and had no time to prepare. Please take care of yourself.

Threw Up Now Lethargic And Hunched

I agree with everyone else to please take your cat to the vet - Brian007 is right that the lethargy and hunched state are big red flags. Hopefully it's nothing, but it doesn't hurt to be overcautious. Please let us know how he's doing!

What To Do And When To Let Them Go

My Loaf passed away today peacefully. It took a while, but I'm at peace with letting him go. He was getting progressively sicker and I didn't want to have him suffer any more. He was the most loving and gentle cat - he loved the heater, snuggles, paw pad to skin contact, food, and sunny spots...

Cat With High Hyperthyroidism. Won't Eat. Seems To Be In Pain. Vomiting. Starving Himself To Death.

I'm sorry to read about what's going on with your cat (I'm going though a similar-ish experience with my cat) and am hoping for the best for you both.

    Alternative To Good Lovin' Treats

Thank you, I didn't realize they rebranded! The soft centered crunchy chicken flavored treats are exactly what I'm looking for! I had gotten the Good Lovin' treats at a Petco and had hoarded a supply a year ago.

    Alternative To Good Lovin' Treats

It looks like Petco is no longer making Good Lovin' cat treats anymore - would anyone know of an alternative that is as close as possible to the Good Lovin' chicken treats? My cat has cancer and this is the only thing that he consistently eats when he feels like eating. He doesn't have long, but...

Cat Stopped Eating, Tests Clean, What Next?

You did the right thing. I'm very sorry.

    Losing Weight

Has your vet suggested an x-ray or ultrasound? This is anecdotal, so take it as you will, but my cat had similar issues and has more or less been diagnosed with cancer. Or it could be something treatable but also involving GI inflammation like IBD. I don't mean to scare you, but it may be...

    Cat Pooing On Bathmat

I've read that the rubber (or latex) backing of the bathmat smells a lot like urine to cats, which is why they sometimes poop there.

    Vomiting And Diarrhea

I understand your financial constraints, but IMO it's good to get it checked out. With kittens especially vomiting and diarrhea can lead to dehydration which is no bueno. Plus vomiting and diarrhea can be indicative of a much bigger issue (or a very minor one). If you can't afford it there are...

What To Do And When To Let Them Go

He slept with me last night and still likes having me around and having me give him attention and affection. He can still jump on the bed and onto the cat tree. He even got excited about the birds outside this morning. However, he's been drinking a lot more water than he used to. He seems to...

Help With Enticing My Cat To Eat

What I've done in the past for my cat is to: (1) Heat the food for about 10 seconds in the microwave so that it smells good to him (2) Crush a treat and sprinkle it over his food. (3) Scatter some dry food in his food (4) Sprinkle Parmesan cheese (the green can) over his food, but note that...
