I suggest you look on craigslist to see if anyone is actively searching for a cat.  I promise you they are not all horrible people....plenty of people, especially students, just don't know how to start looking and they go to craigslist.

I think it was just pretty clear from the way I spoke and wrote.  This woman has done this for a while, and I think she probably is good at reading people.   I posted on craigslist that I was looking for a kitten, that I was a grad student, that I would spoil it, and that I'd had cats...

Oh, I see. We were successful today with Natural Balance...she actually pushed my other cat out of the way to get to that... 

Yes the kitty was vetted!   I think having a gift card to a pet supply store is a great idea, though. 

Oh, and no, there wasn't an adoption fee.  

I got my first cat from craigslist....so not all people on there are sketchy!   However, I put up an ad saying that I WANTED a kitten and someone contacted me to discuss it.  I also talked about how I am a grad student and generally made it clear that I wasn't a nutjob. 

UAE is the United Arab Emirates.  It is in the gulf region of the middle east, next to saudi arabia. 

So, again, she isn't only eating the wet food...she also eats high quality dry food freely.   Today I tried the wellness beef/chicken and she gobbled it up happily and didn't get sick!  So let's see how she likes it tomorrow....
