To be honest, I don’t let the hay get to that point. I replace it when I feel like it’s taking on any moisture. Believe me, I’m on the case! The only reason I use hay is because I have it for the horses! (readily available)

To answer your question, yes I have expanded vertically in the stall. No takers yet...
So I tried trapping the other two today with no luck... ugh! We are going to try again after work the next two nights and of course withholding wet food until then. Will leave them a little dry food since it’s cold out though. I just hope we can get these girls.

Thank you for your advise! Yes they will be totally confined even when the outer catio is built. It will attach to the inner stall via a cat door. I have so many predators around here.
