OK thanks everyone! I'm trying to convince my parents to take her to the vet, I have made a new thread about what happened last night with her new behaviour, but the pooping beside has been going on for a while.
I have a 10 year old female. She uses the litter box to pee but not to poo. We have a room with a cat door which she can use since we have the door open all the time by a wire. She has 2 litter boxes which I cleaned and add new litter just the other day. I just don't know why she poops beside...
It could be that Koa wants to mount her but Hunter isn't letting him. Even if he is neutered he is still male.
Maybe getting koa a toy that will distract him for a while or tire him out will help stop his constant nagging for hunter to play?
Do they have enough resources for themselves? Because cats do hunt alone even indoor cats are hardwired to be protective of its resources. Does one of your cats try to intimidate the other? For food or the litter box?
