    Cats not getting along

Hi there. I wanted to reply to your post as i feel there are so many similarities between yours and my situation with my 2 cats, and we have seen a vet behaviourist specialist because of this and might be useful me sharing her thoughts. In my situation, your Ziggy and Molly is like my...

    nervous about a second cat!??

So i have heard that male and female cats best combination, they generally get along better than 2 females but that 2 males is better than 2 females. We recently saw a vet behaviourist specialist who also mentioned that, but it's also got to do with their characters as well. If you get another...

Question about FIV infection from an FIV positive cat to non-FIV cat

Thank you Molly for your response. That really helps. They have definitely gotten into ugly fights with fur flying and some subsequent scabbing, and he is the aggressor. But no deep deep bites i don't think. We have a referral to a behaviourist soon to see if there's anything we should be doing...

Question about FIV infection from an FIV positive cat to non-FIV cat

Hi i cannot find this answer online. A bit of background my vet has said my cat with gingivitus should get tested for FIV if he doesn't respond to antibiotics. If he is FIV positive, what are the chances of him infecting our other cat as they have fought before and he has definitely bitten her...

Has anybody ever had a cat that insists on sleeping under the covers like this?

How sweet. Yes my cat Tinkers will do this sometimes. She mostly heads all the way inside the covers, does a U-turn, then comes partially out with her head stuck outside the covers like a human. I don't complain either.

Chattering - does my cat want to seriously hurt my other cat?

We are still trying to integrate our two cats after 9 months. The boy Shadow continually stares at, stalks, chases, bites her anywhere he can, and mounts and then bites the back of the neck of my girl Tinkerbell. They are 11 and 12 months old respectively. We keep them separated when we are...

Rescued food thief vs. spoiled, casual eater

Hi i have a similar problem in that my male cat will eat his food in seconds and then barge female cat out of way to eat hers because she eats slower. My solution was to ask my friend who is handy at DIY to fix a microchip cat flap on some acrylic (perspex) box where you can place her food. So...

Please need advice, Cat on a 'diet' but always hungry

Hello. My cat is like that he will gulp all his food super fast and will try and steal the other cat's food and also steal human food. I know i feed him more than enough so i put it down to healthy appetite and/or just greedy! Have you tried this site, it has a simple calculator, and since you...

    Should I be worried?

If you're worried about Zeus' tail being injured keep a close eye on him. I did a google search and this link might help http://www.pets4homes.co.uk/pet-advice/tail-injuries-in-cats.html

    Should I be worried?

Hi had a look at the video and it seems normal to me. My kitten does this she is 8 months old, sometimes i reckon it's because she is annoyed particularly where the tip swishes and flicks, or it could be over-stimulation (being petted) or excitement. Mine also moves her back end when stroked, i...

My new kitten Sarah is going for her spay

As part of my kitten being spayed they gave her inclusive pain meds during the op, which supposedly lasted about half a day after the op then we were prescribed further pain meds for 3 days (as needed) to take home. When i got my kitten home she was screaming in pain for about a day so in a way...
