Was she a sweetheart? My cat looks very similar, except he is a bicolor instead of tri.  Everyone who pets him says how soft he is. When we are out or at the vet people stop to ask and pet him and what breed he is. He is just a moggie that showed up as a kitten in my neighbors drive. I have pics of him under my profile.

She was definitely a sweetheart. She was almost as soft as an Angora rabbit - cashmere soft. She also had a gentle personality and loved 'her' family. She also nurtured Lil' Jag when we brought her into the household at 3.5 months old. We don't know her history prior to use adopting her from Animal Services (she was just days away from being pts) at 9 years old. She had been in and out of foster care (along with her fellow escapee Sphinx) which probably spared their lives. She might have been a Turkish Van but can't prove it. She passed away in Oct. 2012 from cancer at 19 years and she is missed. She was also the Alpha Cat and supervised everyone with a firm gentle paw.

Your cats are beautiful as well. I can see why some would wonder what breed he is. Moggies are just as wonderful as pure breeds.
