Thank you, mani mani and GranolaLouise GranolaLouise !

Two days short of a month is definitely a record for me! The only slow section was the paw, with all the balls of yarn to keep sorted (not helped by certain persons trying out their juggling skills with them). Made a nice change from the cable jumper I’d been doing that’s taking so long - barely 2/3 through the front after a month!

New cat has not yet discovered my project bag
I’m going on a road trip the next few days
Leaving hubby in charge
hmmmm…
Might need to move it into the closet 👀
When I would (attempt) to hand sew, I always kept needles, threads, and pincushions in a cat and dog proof cabinet. The thought of losing a needle somewhere that was attached to string terrified me!

Well that was clever. I put my big cable knit jumper into the wash this morning - cold water, wool cycle, as I’ve done before in the same machine - and the damn thing felted. Completely irretrievable as a jumper. At least it’s proven acceptable as a bed for someone! Might even divert her from pulling holes in the bedspread, you never know.

It also occurred to me that I can make a second version of it and avoid all the annoying quirks in the pattern - the too-wide neckline and cuffs and the unflattering outline. All I need to do is make it the same as my Daisydins jumper and incorporate the cable pattern on the front (no need for cables all over, it’s not cold enough here to warrant that).

Oh catloverfromwayback catloverfromwayback that's so disappointing! Would it fit someone teensy?
Sorry, mani mani , I missed answering!
No, the jumper’s quite misshapen after shrinking and felting, so I’ve given it to the babies to use as an extra bed/pillow (not that I know any tiny humans anyway).
I started the replacement, which I’m going to make the same shape as the Daisydins, which fits me much better than the Crowden did. I had So Much Help from the supurrvisor yesterday!

It's lovely GranolaLouise GranolaLouise . :)
I like the earthy tones, and the design is really elegant.
Is it wool?

It is Lion Brand Heartland. It is acrylic aran weight, but I wish it were wool. The pattern is a top down by Knitatude.
I have made a few of these, but this time left out a ring of eyelets on purpose.. It will be my last time making it.

Woo Hoo! It even lights up! I love it.
I wanted to take crochet classes for beginners at my local craft shop, but it is full every month. It is so expensive, though...$55 to make a simple trivet learning the stitches. I can do the basics, but my eyes go bonkers when I try to find the loops not crocheted into, so I end up short. I find the anatomy of the knit stitch so much easier to see.
What I have learned I got from BagODay on you tube. I know your niece loved it.:thumbsup:

I learned to crochet when I was 10 so I've been crocheting for nearly 30 years. I tried learning to knit but the second needle just threw me for a loop (pun not intended) and I couldn't get the hang of it. I do like the look of knitting better than crocheting, but Tunisian crochet has a similar knitted look, so I like doing that.
