Many of us post photos of our kitties who’ve crossed the Bridge. They’re still with us in spirit, and the photos can be a comforting way to remind us.I’m relatively new here so I’m sorry if this is less positive than this thread was meant for.
Thank you it does give me great comfort to look at his pictures and to share them. He only left us in February so it’s all relatively newMany of us post photos of our kitties who’ve crossed the Bridge. They’re still with us in spirit, and the photos can be a comforting way to remind us.

Smeagol was what some people describe as their soul cat. I don’t know the correct terminology I just know life will never again be the same without him. He was everything. What a SWEET face Smeagol had! And that little guy!?! Adorable!
All of my beloved ones are up there watchin' except for Elvis, who's an "only cat" now and missing his furmily. How well we know what it is to miss them!!!

Elvis in HIS chair
LoTR fan from childhood. Absolutely!Smeagol was what some people describe as their soul cat. I don’t know the correct terminology I just know life will never again be the same without him. He was everything.
the new guy is Gollum and he is destined to be an only cat sooner than I’d like. My precious (I’m sure you can see the theme if you know lord of the rings ) will be leaving us soon and I hope like yours that she will join smeagol watching over us!
Your Elvis is absolutely beautiful
We also had a mr baggins that was part of my little LOTR family. He was a feral that I fed and looked after for 18 months before we trapped and got the local cat charity to socialise and rehome. He’s a big happy house cat now. I like you, have been surrounded by cats my entire life. I have an affinity for them that I can’t describe. Smeagol was my first cat that was ‘mine’ as in I got him when I first got my own place. All the other cats were family cats. Smeagol was like no other cat I’ve ever encountered, I used to say he was the third person in my relationship, as I genuinely believe that that cat did not know he was a cat and truly believed he was a person. He mimicked and joined in with so many things that you would consider very human behaviours. He was just incredible. I had two females in the time he was with us, smudge who passed many years ago from sepsis and precious (my precious) who is still with us but has a tumour in her neck that can’t be removed. I love her deeply to the core of my being but she’s most definitely a cats cat and prefers the company of other cats to people.LoTR fan from childhood. Absolutely!
And yeah, I know about soul cats. I've lost count of the number for me, as I was born into a family "with cat" (he was 3 when I was born) and have spent most of my life with multiple cats, every one of whom is a soul cat for me. In fact, I've always thought I might be "part cat."
Hoping and praying Gollum will stay, in comfort and love, for longer than you seem to think.
Elvis thanks you for the compliment. He, like his namesake, LOVES adulation.

Our beloved angel Tarifa in the office, helping with the work
Our beloved angel Tarifa left us in 2020 at almost 18. She was the most social and friendly of souls -- I don't know that she ever met anyone she didn't like, and I adopted her from a friend who did rescue/adoption based on her recommendation of Tar as being friendly and social and a good fit for a large multicat family. Her recommendation was true -- Tar never fought with anyone and fit in right from the start. We miss her terribly. Elvis loved her and even though he is and she was neutered, he frequently tried to make her his lover. She wasn't really amused, but she tolerated him and humored him.We also had a mr baggins that was part of my little LOTR family. I’m hoping Gollum is at the beginning of a very long and happy life with us, he is 20 weeks old today!!
And what a pretty little helper you have, she’s stunning!!!
Thank you. Tarifa was absolutely amazing, unconditionally loyal and loving, and much, much missed. Elvis and I are not the same without her and our beloved angel Suha (my icon) who left us last June.I’m sorry for the loss of your beautiful baby. She sounds like she was an absolute delight.
Aw Elvis the big softie!! He must miss her as you do
