1 looks like (American-style) goulash
2 soda (as teenagers, my brother and his friend argued incessantly about whether it was soda or pop, lol)
3 ponytail holder/ponytailer (I don't think this is common but my family is weird)
4 freezer pops/freezies
5 firefly
6 lollipop
7 highway
8 daddy long-legs
9 heel

No, goulash is made with ketchup/tomato sauce and chili mac is made with. . .chili and mac and cheese  . I don't see any cheese in that so I would assume it's goulash or maybe hamburger helper. But I don't think there are different regional names for goulash? So idk.

I never put cheese in chili mac and have never seen it that way so there are regional differences.

...with the cats...
pasta with beef generally, but i would tend to go by the recipe name.
soda
hair bands
freeze pops (which was a brand that was widely available when i was a kid)
lightning bug
big lollipop
highway (because it's not like the freeways in LA and surrounding, which is what i think of when i'm thinking freeway)
spider (maybe a daddy long legs)
heel

Hmm, yeah, I looked up a few recipes and some say the cheese is optional. I've always made it with leftovers of chili and mac & cheese so I've never followed a recipe from scratch. The difference between that and goulash is the seasoning, and you can't really tell that by a picture!

I also found that another name for American goulash is slumgullion, so maybe that's the regional difference they were thinking of. But I don't know where they call it that.
