That changed quickly, as hadn't you recently posted how unseasonable warm it had been.
Yes, as soon as we got to December the temperatures suddenly dropped
Oh, cute. Like a cross between a cat and a raccoon.
Yes, I think the English name for them is a palm civet cat. They do look kind of cat like.

90 minutes yoga today. I'd like to go for a walk, but I'm waiting for the plumbers to come and drain the sceptic tank. Country living, so glamorous!

2 hour walk indoors & 1 hour stretching exercises. I've been doing 2 new stretches & my sore right leg feels better! One is where I reach towards the sky with one arm/hand, then the other. The other stretch is kinda like twerking, but a little different. Standing in an almost sitting position and swing your butt in a circle.

I always thought maybe I had a tailbone injury. Maybe this works the muscles in that area? Or maybe toning up the fat in that area takes the pressure off my muscles? I have no idea. Just glad the pain is finally lessening!!!

Kind of antithetical to the theme of this thread, but I finally applied to have my exercise bike picked up by the district junk collectors!! I use it as a towel rack and haven't used it as an exercise bike in way too long. My space is so small that getting rid of it would mean I might have space to lay out the yoga mat or do swinging kettlebell stuff (although with that I'd be seriously worried about konking Puar in the noggin because there's no way he'd leave me alone). I think it will help in the long run since I won't look at it and feel guilty/bad. It'll free me up to go actual bike riding (even though it has gotten cold now)

Getting rid of a few other things. I guess technically tonight's exercise is dragging all that stuff down to the building's entrance so it can be picked up tomorrow.

I can relate. My treadmill is used to hang clothes on and it takes up so much space. I can relate about cats and exercising too, Demi stands behind me and cries when I try to do my leg lifts and sometimes my leg conks down on his head! If I try to pick him up and move him, he does the bicycle legs and kicks me.

But it's going to be nice to have the space, and if it means you can do yoga or weights or something that's great. I'm trying to persuade Mr H that he doesn't really need all three snowboards. Those things take up a lot of room.

I went for a two hour walk on Tuesday, followed by 45 minutes yoga. Wednesday I did 90 minutes yoga. Today i decided to clean up one of the outdoor shelters and move it from the enclosure to just outside of the house so Fergus McGinger, who lives outside, will have somewhere warm and dry to sleep. I'm pretty sure he has a shelter already. Some of the houses around here are so old he must be able to just walk into them, but now he's got somewhere here if he needs it.

About 2 hours of hauling stuff around outside, followed by 40 minutes of deep stretching.

No evening walk last night. We plan to go a different route tonight to see if there is any interesting outdoor decorations up. Not as long of a route as normal but it will be nice to see new scenery.

I went for a long hike today. 30 minutes of power yoga to wake me up, 2 hour 30 minute hike, 30 minutes of stretching when I got home. We hiked through The Suicide Forest to The Dragon Cave this time.

Some pics.

I didn't go any further into the cave than this, but you get an idea of the scale.

And this was a weird fungi growing on the side of a tree. I thought it looked a bit like The Starship Enterprise. What do you think?

Hmmm, maybe lol

Lots of informal walking these past couple days, and some mental exercise driving through a wildlife preserve the day before a big storm, lots of deer, bison, eagles and hawks :)

Just my 2 hour walk indoors, and will do my 1 hour stretching exercises after dinner. I want to start doing them in the morning before my shower, but haven't gotten up the ambition yet, so have been doing them at night. My leg feels much better. I definitely think something was wrong with the muscles in my tailbone, if there are muscles there.

I've just been taking my usual 2 hour walk indoors and I have to force myself to do the 1 hour of stretching every day. It is really helping my sore leg. I really think those fat deposits on my upper thighs were pushing on my leg muscles and causing the pain. Now that I'm tightening up that area, the pain is almost gone, maybe 25 percent of the pain is left.

It's been really cold here this week. I got a couple of "warming masks" that are double thickness and supposed to keep you warm in the winter. I did a couple of walks with one of those on and it did a great job of keeping my nose from freezing.

Nothing exciting this week, just my usual walking routes and yoga every day. Oh, I got a new pair of boots though.
