I don't know what to say, I too am dealing with a cat straight from the Exorcist. If I were you I would not allow her into any room that has anything breakable.

I am so sorry about the TV. I understand how upsetting that must be. I actually knocked one over myself. They tip easily. We can’t make up for the financial loss but maybe we can help a little by saying that you saved a life by taking this cat. That’s huge! You’re patience may be stretched to the breaking point but you are a hero if you give care to another living creature and I am most grateful to you for that.
I did see where you are dealing with very active kitties. At that age they are full of energy. As they get a bit older they are very likely to be less active. I put all my breakables inside cabinets. I use poster putty to stick some things down. I weight some things down and brace lots of things with other heavy objects. Blinds are risky business as kitties are attracted to them and the cords can get caught around them. I keep mine pulled up and the cords wound up and tied firmly at the top so they cannot ever hurt my cats. I bought black out curtains at the dollar store for privacy. They are often on sale there. You can get calming products that might help with the kitties. Feliway difusers for multicats. Getting kitties to play hard a couple of times a day helps at this age.
You didn’t mention if the TV belonged to a roommate or family member? Rental? Perhaps if it’s a person who cares about you or the kitty, you can work something out. If a person lives with you and knows the cats, then they certainly understand the kitties were just being kitties and playful. It was not intentional so I hope they will be understanding. In a way , having kitties is like having a young child. Mishaps occur but even though we sometimes feel absolutely frustrated, we know they mean no harm, love us and we continue to love them. Child/cat proof everything. As they age you may find yourself missing the times when they were playful and full of life. I hope , with all my heart, that you can work something out on the TV. :alright:

Sounds like she needs a playmate her own age... dunno if that fits in with your plans, or how much space you have in your home. My cats play all the time in my home, galloping around like crazy fools whenever they start getting cabin fever. They even do it at zero-dark-thirty, but I'm used to the galloping paws on the carpet, so if they wake me it's easy enough to roll over and go back to sleep. I'm fortunate in one respect: my home has an excellent floor plan for galloping kittehs, they can run the length of our home and chase each other around two architectural "islands." In fact, this is probably the best floor plan I've seen with regard to playtime for the cats... our home in Coronado had one large architectural island, so the cats we had back then could chase each other around in a loop, but these two smaller islands make for plenty of cat passageways, and I also widened every window sill and took steps to enhance the vertical spaces in our home. The cats jump up on the bar, the separate breakfast bar, the fridge, etc., and I even leave some unused cabinets open for the kittehs to use as "cat caves." All these little things make life more interesting for a cat indoors, but having a playmate the same age is definitely a big plus... young cats will work off plenty of energy as they play with each other. :runningcat:

She
Getting into everything is a very cat thing to do, very normal :) can you cat proof your place so that she won’t get hurt and keep your favorite objects away so that she won’t break them?
You could also create some vertical space in your room to give her more space, eg high cat tree, high shelves etc
She Loves my bookcase so I empty everything on it and she loves it I'm gonna prob hot glue gun toys on a string so their hanging maybe it will help

Blind cords -- as opposed to actual blinds -- are something I don't bother to defend,

Life is short, training is effort intensive, pick the battles that matter.
I agree....let the cat wreck the blinds if it makes them happy. .....BUT the cords can be a strangling hazzard. Make sure at the very least that the end of each cord is cut (not in a loop). A loop can more easily wrap around a small neck.

No I meant since the other tv got broke..What are you using for a tv ???Im sorry I didn't read your whole thread...From what I understand you have an active little kitty...Maybe needs a friend...If your situation is up to it..If NOT cat toys...you can get interactive cat toys that will keep the kitty busy and out of mischief..

Making some toys should help. Good idea. Just make sure she doesn’t get into the strings. Sometimes I just ball up a piece of paper and the kitties chase it. Boxes are their favorite thing. Anytime I buy something in a box ,they love the box.
Getting the Spay done should help a lot. :goodluck:

She’s a climber huh? Some of mineike high spaces too. I try to clear high spots for them and put my good stuff down low. Lol It’s great that she understands when you use her full name that she is in trouble. She’s learning! They do learn and as they get older they settle some. Broke her wand? Maybe get her a stick! Lol I used to have a kitty that liked to fetch sticks like a puppy. She just started doing that on her own because it never occurred to me she would do that. I made sure it was from a tree that would not make her sick though. We have oak trees here and she liked the branches. She was a wild child when she was young. I really miss her even though she got into trouble back then. She also made me smile a lot.
