Happy Thanksgiving/Columbus Day/Indigenous People's Day/National Pierogi Day. I could really get behind that last one. :yummy:

What is your current food obsession?

I'm stuck on Brussels sprouts. Steamed with a little butter and a nice drizzle of balsamic vinegar. Sooo yummy! :yummy: I think I may try roasting with garlic too. But I like vinegar a lot; so maybe I'll keep that incorporated in the recipe.

Which is a less messy version of the Mexican street corn. Which is grilled corn with mayonnaise, cojita cheese, lime, butter and chili powder. The cup version I get adds chip crumbles (I do flaming hot Cheetos), tajin and tapatio.

I really love fresh asparagus. Not the canned kind because it's soggy.
Maybe I am spoiled by local fresh produce but canned asparagus is a thing? I am very distrubed. I've done pickeled asparagus a few times but it still has some snap.

Canned.....

Yup, not picturing it. On that note my local market was doing buy one get one asparagus this weekend. So guess what this week's vegtable is with dinner?

Cat food. I’m obsessed with cat food.

Ohhhhh. You probably meant people food. Okay, let’s see.

Since it’s fall and getting cool, I’d have to say chili. And apple caramel pie. And warm homemade bread fresh from the oven. Ah, the smell!

I, too, like Brussels sprouts...tossed in olive oil and baked with that drizzle of balsamic vinegar and garlic. :)

Ginger Snap cookies from Lidl's. Limited ingredients with ginger and molasses being the only flavorings. Soy lecithin is the worst thing in them - other than sugar. After you eat a few, you are definitely getting a burn on. And $1.69 for 14 ounces of cookies!

I just had Brussels sprouts for dinner a couple of minutes ago! I roast mine: put them in a baking dish; drizzle with lots of olive oil and some coarse/sea salt. Roast at 350F for about 45-60 minutes. You want a few brownish ones in the batch. A local restaurant adds thick-cut baked bacon slices in the mix. My dinner tonight was a bit of those leftovers from Saturday night, and ones I roasted last night, mixed with leftover mashed potatoes and butter and some more sea salt. Yummm...

A store brand white popcorn has been my latest obsession. The grocery store that sells it doesn't have a close location by me, so anytime I'm near one I go to it, as a result, I've been to every location in the metro area except for 2.
