STILL HERE!

Let me see, I had totally lost track of the day of the week. I know it sounds silly, but at home, I know by which TV shows I've recorded. Here, there's just Hulu and Netflix, so I'm a bit lost. OK, that said, how do you watch tv, and what are your favorite shows?

I used to watch cable, and absolute faves were the NCIS franchise, and MANY of the vet shows. NOW, I'm watching mostly Netflix, and I'm BINGING on "Call the Midwife."

I have a Fire Stick and use it for Netflix and Hulu. I don't have a TV subscription. All 8 seasons of my favorite show, Castle, are on my laptop so I just watch it there. Shows I watch via the stick are The Good Place, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Grace and Frankie, Insatiable, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, and some others that I'm having trouble remembering right now.

We have DirecTV - we get a good deal on it when bundled with our landline and Wifi and combined with a "loyal customer" discount (for having had the landline since 1988).

Favorites:
  • NCIS:LA
  • CSI:LV
  • Doctor Who (The next season premiers on Sunday, Oct. 7.)
  • Quantum Leap (Currently being rerun on weekdays from 10 a.m. to noon, Mountain Time, on El Rey network.)
  • Leverage (Rerunning ridiculously early on ION on weekday mornings.)
  • Milo Murphy's Law (Currently between seasons, but it runs on Disney XD - it's a cartoon, and it's a hoot!)
  • The Late Show With Stephen Colbert
  • Most everything on MSNBC, until it gets too repetitive.
  • Private Eyes (Currently in 1st season reruns, just after the end of their 2nd season. Made by and run on ION.)

I had basic cable service, but I gave it up about two months now because, working two jobs, I was hardly using it at all and I was paying for not watching it!

So... I really enjoy watching movies on youtube. I love the old movies from the 30"s, 40's, 50's and 60's and there are many great movies on youtube.

When I had the time to watch TV, I used to enjoy the cable news stations, the Food network, crime tv, Turner Classic Movies, PBS but if I'm not here much, there is no use of me having the cable television service.

I have a Fire Stick in my room, which I mostly use for Netflix or Amazon Video, but every so often I'll watch stuff on the BBC or All4 on demand apps too.

We have Sky on the main tv, but it's a smart tv so we get Amazon, Netflix etc etc on it too. I'll occasionally watch something on Sky, but mostly use the same as in my room.

At the moment I'm watching Grey's Anatomy (for the first time - I'm slow;) ), and re-watching The Big Bang Theory with dad. What I watch varies enormously on my mood and how much energy I have (I'm often too tired to follow new shows properly), and on my low energy days I re watch familiar things - mostly Big Bang, The Good Place, A Town Called Eureka and Warehouse 13 (big sci fi/fantasy nut here).

I don't watch a lot of tv anymore. It's on, but it's for background noise more than anything. While Rick was gone, the tv was on all night long, at a very low volume and turned to TWC, for the light and for the sound to mask any noises I might hear. (I can't sleep alone in the dark. I can't be alone in the dark.)

That being said, I do watch Supernatural every week when the new seasons start. I watch the new episodes of Mysteries at the Museum from time to time. I will subscribe to STARZ for Outlander, but then as soon as that season is finished, I'll let STARZ go, too, until Outlander comes back for the next season. Once Lucifier starts showing on Netflix, I'll start in with Netflix.

We have an Amazon stick, but, you know, I hardly use that either. Sometimes the mood will hit and I'll watch something, but I tend to forget about it.

I'm not the tv watcher that I used to be. I'll go to bed with my iPad and read with the tv on low as background.

I cut the cord years ago and never looked back. I got the Roku to stream shows.

I subscribe to Hulu and Netflix.

I also use several free apps which has some good movies/shows-
Roku Channel
Tubi
Design Network (good alternative to Home and Gardens)
Pluto
Philo
ComicCon HQ

CW and ABC has current TV shows and does not require cable subscription

The only thing I miss that I can't find for free (or will be a year behind via Netflix) is The Walking Dead and Big Bang Theory.

I don't have T.V. I catch everything with online sites like Putlocker or 123 Movies or even Watch Series.
My favorites are:
Doctor Who
Lucifer (impatiently waiting for season 4)
Stargate SG-1 (I have all 10 seasons on DVD)
Grey's Anatomy
I also watch all the DC stuff like Arrow, Flash, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow. Also The 100 is real good.

My favorite shows are Grey's Anatomy, Real Housewives (don't laugh!), This Is Us, Big Bang Theory, Arrow, Once Upon A Time, Dateline, 48 Hours, and those British TV movies on Masterpiece on PBS on Sunday nights.

Right now I'm using Hulu because we canceled our DirecTV.
PBS, CBS, Fox are from the rabbit ears antenna on the roof.
We also have Roku. :)

I don't have any favorites now that it's all reruns. The TV is on for background noise, usually on CNN or MSNBC, but I get tired of their endless speculation and sometimes turn on HGTV. I never miss the evening news, but generally, I'd rather read a book.

Once the new season starts, I favor PBS shows.

Forgot to mention Cleverman. Great show, but season 3 is still up in the air. No one seems to know anything. However, since it's been almost 2 years since the last season, I believe it's been cancelled. What a shame.

I read that Season 4 of Lucifer isn't coming. Unless that's changed in the past few weeks? I hope so, I like that show

We killed our cable about a year ago and use Netflix, Hulu and a few other apps depending upon if a season is running for a show that we watch. The boys and I don't really watch too much tv but we insist on being able to watch some things in real time. I love Handmaid's tale when it's running, I used to watch the Walking Dead and any of RuPaul's drag race shows (regular seasons and All Stars) since we usually host a large group of friends that watch as well.

Our personal TV was last fired up on Easter Sunday.
We don't watch it much, but we do find a sick sense of joy in finding old shows on you tube that we watch or run for background noise.
Old game shows, old sitcoms, old movies, old, old, old. I'm old.
Except for my avatar. I love Futurama and think it's a drop down laughing funny show.
