Who is your favorite cat character from literature, tv, movies or otherwise?
Do any of them remind you of your own cat(s)?

I always liked the cats from Aristocats. The tom cat Thomas O'Malley reminds me of my ex-stray "alley cat" of my own. He has a way of getting into things and having his own way of doing things. He seems to believe he is still not a pet.

Ah, how could I have forgotten the Aristocats?! Marie was always my favourite as a child.

Those 3 kittens are so cute, too!

It was a real life movie but the cat in the Three Lives of Thomasina was really a cool guy (girl?)

By chance, does anyone remember this one-time special made for TV special called Claws? I saw it when it originally aired and roared with laughter and didn't care how many weird looks I got. It was a real life show (no animation/special effects) of these 3 cats living with this woman and the cats had dubbed voices.
I think it aired in the 80's or maybe early '90's, but it was so funny and I can't find a thing on google about it.

Oh man, I loved that movie when I was little!

I remember watching the weirdest darkest probably not children appropriate movie called Gay Purr-ee. Basically, fancy country kitty runs away to Paris and gets caught up in a sordid brothel after being promised the world. When I was little, I thought it was a fun story with kitties and adventure, and now I look at it as Feline Sex Trafficking. :running:

I must really be old. I have never heard of any of the cats you guys have mentioned. The only cat I can think of is Felix the Cat and I didn't especially like him. That is really going back.

Felix always made me think of Mickey Mouse if he somehow absorbed a cats powers

Always thought this was one of the worlds cutest cartoon kittens.

I like Koko and Yum-Yum from Lilian Jackson Brown's "The Cat Who..." series. Such knowing cats! Always giving hints about the mysteries that needed to be solved, if only Mr. Qwilleran can interpret them correctly!
