Its just started, yes she’s always been able to see the cats, she’s met them all throuindoor heated area and then she has an outdoor cage attached, i close her in at night and that seemed to calm her down a little. She is also holding off going to the toilet until im around and she wont stop trying to cover that and her left over food up. I have to take the tray away and clean it straight away for her to leave it alone. Im not sure if they do but I may call for some advice today and see if they will. Thankyou!
Ivy was checked by the vets today, I rang up as I was worried and wanted advice and they decided it would be best to see her. Luckily all is fine, they scanned her and saw plenty of movement and ‘several’ heartbeats! They are expecting her to have them withing the next few days, fingers crossed! Her purring and heavy breathing was put down to her being uncomfortable and a little stressed. They arent worried about her tolileting issues as the vet said she will go when she cant hold it any longer but it shouldnt cause any issues. Its honestly a relief to know the pregnancy is going well and we’ll be expecting soon!
Yay i am so glad she is doing good your such a wonderful person for what you are doing i know i have told you this before but i wanna keep saying it because your such a wonderful and caring person for taking care of the kiities and soon to be kittens. Glad to hear they are doing good to but i bet momma is more than ready to get those babies out poor thing she will prob be doing kitty cartwheels when they are finally out lol. Wow in the next few days thats great. I dont know why it happens but it always seems like animals wait till the middle of the night to have their babies i hope that dont happen to you it makes it hard enough when they start coming but when its in the middle of the night it makes it worse. Keep me posted on the progress and if you disapeer for a day or 2 i will know your in full foster mama mode and helping momma kitty. Best of luck hun keep me posted please

Still no sign! She’s definitely keeping us waiting, she’s so big and her belly touches the floor! Wish I could do something to help her. She’s eating normal and now weeing more often than a few days ago as it worried me she hadnt wee’d for 28 hours! But now she hasnt pooped for 2 days just hoping it starts this weekend so she can stop being so uncomfortable

But go to google and type in wiki how and when you get that page up then you type in the search bar of how to help a cat give birth hopefully some stuff in there can help you and momma bring her jelly beans into the world i also read that if you keep her very active it could help induce labor good luck keep me posted hun

Me too! I was surprised she only had three, but definitely a relief for us both on the managing feeding them!
They are all doing great, feeding now stop and Ivy is so proud to show them off, she meows when I leave her alone but is back in with the kittens as soon as they squeak! Added some more pictures! Just need to gender them some how

They are so adorable they are so tiny i just want to scoop them up and shower them with kisses. Thats awesome she is a great mommy she knows what she has to do lol. Do you plan on adopting mommy out when you adopt the kittens out? Seems like she has grown quite attached to you. It may be a when they are kittens i think the way you can tell is males genitals are closer to the butt area and females are closer to the belly i believe. What do your other cats think of the tiny cries? I know they dont have access to each other but do your other cats react to the baby cries? Do you have them named yet? I love naming animals lol i know you dont intend on keeping them but its still cool to name them

She’s so proud of them, even shows them to me, she lets me pick them up to weigh them and sees i have one but carrys on eating! Anyone else touches them and she’s straight to their side protecting them poor girl! Yes unfortunately, id love to keep her, i’ve fallen in love with her haha but she’ll hopefully being rehomed with her sister who is currently in foster while she has her babies! I dont think they have noticed, they are quite quiet at the moment so cant be heard outside her space, maybe once they’re older they’ll hear them! I dont have names yet since we havent got genders but we are going for floral/plant names like Petal, laurel, snowdrop for girls and Aspen, Bramble and Thistle for boys! Suggestions are welcome though!

Ive noticed that ivy is still bleeding which i know can be normal but I want to make sure everything is ok. The towel she is laying on has quite a few spots of blood on and I’ve just noticed she has red discharge coming out of her, is this normal? It wasnt like nose bleed type blood it was more like red snot, not sure if that makes sense! She’s eating, letting the babies nurse none stop and weeing but she hasnt pooped since 2 days before giving birth. The kittens are now approximately 36 hours old

It is normal for them to bleed for up to 2 weeks after giving birth they are getting rid of what is left of the wall lining of their bellies sort of just like human moms shedding the afterbirth sort of thing. Have you felt around her belly to make sure she doesnt have more babies? I dont think she would she wouldnt act very normal if she did but i would feel around just in case. If its just a little bit of blood i see no cause for concern but if it gets more thicker or lasts a long time i would take her in to the vet but if she is back to her normal self i think she os ok. I just now got to read your other post to i think the names you mentioned are so cute i think those are names that you should lean towards. I wish i lived near you and my husband would let me have another cat i would take ivy in a heartbeat she sounds like an awesome cat sounds loveable but my husband is not really fond of cats and he allowed me to have 1 (sebastian) lol. He is my baby i love him so much he is so adorable and he reaches his arms out when i pick him up lol. If your really concerned about her honey and think something is wrong i would take her to the vet but i believe she will be ok. I love the babies colors looks like she could have had a few mates for all the different colored ones.

Sorry I havent replied sooner! Ivy is truly the loveliest cat I’ve had! And I have 7 of my own haha!
They are all doing amazing, the tabby is abit behind in weight but gaining well so we arent worried! They were a week old yesterday and currently weigh
White & tabby - 265g
Ginger & tabby - 240g
Tabby - 213g
I’ll attach some pictures for you!
We haven’t confirmed the genders yet but hoping to soon, i think we have 2 girls and a boy, White and tabby being the boy. Whens the earliest i can get them to a vet?

Oh thats ok i know life can grab a hold of ya and make ya so busy it makes ya crazy i know that first hand lol. They are so adorable i cant get over the cuteness ivy definately makes some beautiful babies she is such a good momma. Its gonna be hard on you to adopt them out when it becomes time you get so attached to them so quickly it makes it hard. I wanted to keep all of my dogs puppies when she accidently got prego we were suppose to be getting her in to be spayed but a week earlier then the appt she went into heat and our male got her lol this was almost 11 years ago my baby girl passed away on us a year ago the vet said it was natural causes she was a tiny beagle so she didnt live as long. You can take them to the vet at any time you need to if a problem should occur but if they are happy and healthy then i would wait till they are just a bit older. Do you plan on getting them shots and spayed/neutered or are you gonna leave it up to the people that adopt them? If i were you i would just get them their shots and let the new parents gwt them spayed/neutered to help with the cost that or charge an adoption fee of tou do get them fixed first they can be spayed/neutered as early as 8 weeks as long as they have a clean bill of health and meet the weight requirements. You will be able to tell what they are as they get a little bit older i know i keep saying this but they are so adorable makes me want one so bad but i am not allowed to have any more than the 1 i have but we have other animals so its like i have a zoo lol plus i have like 10 feral cats outside that i feed to but unfortunately none of them are adoptable. Thank you so much for responding back and thank you for being such a pawsome pet parent
