Ah, the perils of sharing your bed with a cat. All I did was shift my head slightly, and out of the dark came the world's softest punch in the nose
I usually sleep with 3 cats. One of them has taken to sleeping above my head once it gets light and then she messes with my hair, really annoying. Another decides that when she thinks it's time for me to get up that she should tickle my face with her whiskers and purring up a storm, equally annoying. And then there is the BIG cat who weighs 20 lbs but is just slightly overweight by about 1 lb who insists on sleeping practically on my face and I have to keep pushing him off several times during the night. He also invades my space when I get up to go to the bathroom. How can a 20 lb cat take up so much room in a queen-sized bed? That is REALLY annoying.

I did a  thing today. While paying for my groceries I asked the woman checking me out, " Can I get cash back using my credit card?". Not thinking.... oh yeah.... charge for money, right! She gave me blank look and said no.

I've been using my debit card for so long I don't know how to get cash. Hee hee

Alicia88 Alicia88 Could you put a trash bag over the car seat when you have it inside? Just open the trash bag and put it over the top and tuck under the bottom. If they claw through that, maybe try a second one lined with duct tape? You wouldn't have to use a new one every time, so no real waste.

That's not a bad idea. I'll have to get some more duct tape. We either ran out or lost it. For now, we're just keeping it in the bedroom with the door closed. It's so frustrating. I don't even know who did it and even if I did, punishment doesn't work on cats. They don't understand it.

I have a papasan chair from my university days and one of my cats thinks that's a good place to pee right in the middle. After washing the thick pad at a commercial laundry where they have these giant washers I put a cheap shower curtain on the chair and that has been the last time she peed there, she does not like the slick feel of the plastic. When I want to use the chair I can just whip the plastic off and stash it under the chair. Problem solved without any more frustration.

How can I download a pic to this or any other thread when I get a message that the file is too big? The one I want to download is 8.6MB but the site will only take up to 5.0MB.
You might find this too long of a process, but what I do is upload the picture to Google Drive, download the file to my computer, open it with Paint, and then resize it to 35%. That drops it down to around 100 kilobytes.

Friend's FB feed showed an animal that I never knew existed. :eek2: It's called a jerboa.

They look like an over sized kangaroo rat.
Had a kangaroo rat in my old car once. I was driving, he ran across my dash, jumped onto the rearview mirror and sat there looking out while I drove. It was so cute.

On the other hand, I can take Morphine pills just fine and they do the job for me.
OH NO MORPHINE! It does terrible things to my tummy. Actually, I'm hypersensitive (although not allergic) to all of the opioids. No codeine, no morphine, no synthetic version of either. And demerol gives me problems, as well. Pain management can be a bit tricky for me,

Mamanyt1953 Mamanyt1953 try rolling your t-shirts instead of folding, they take up less space and you can see which one you want and be able to pull it out without messing up the others.
Now, why, in 65 years, have I not thought of that? Thank you!

I've seen them, and they are adorable. Like a chance meeting between a mouse, a rabbit and a VERY tiny kangaroo!

Oh, now that's a wonderful idea!

Adorable. I love the long ears and tails! Jerboa - Wikipedia

Put it on your computer and use Paint (or any equivalent program) to shrink it. Also, you can sometimes shave some size off of pictures by saving them as type .png, which has some built-in compression. {Note: This is not as easy as simply renaming the file; you do it from your image editor by selecting that type when saving the file, or else you find a free file conversion site online.}

No, no, no. It's not MY birthday, it's Samai's. She's a year old today. But I'll tell her you wished her a happy birthday.
When I first got her she was so small she could fit in my hand with room to spare. Now I can't pick her up without a crane. We honestly didn't know if they were going to make it. It was touch and go for awhile. But just look at her now.

I'm so mad right now! Someone peed I the car seat AGAIN! John's out getting a cleaner with an enzyme remover. I'm gonna have to keep the car seat in the bedroom with the door closed. I don't know what else to do. I don't even know which one is doing it. I get that a new baby is an adjustment, but come on! They seemed ok with it, but now I'm not sure.
Why aren't you keeping the car seat in the car, attached, so you don't have to take it to the car and secure it to the seat each time? Is it the kind you use for him to sit in at home?

It has a little lever thing and just pops in and out of the base, which is attached to the car at all times. It's easier to put him in the seat inside the house so we can get a blanket tucked around him and keep him warm on the way out to the car. He never sits in the car seat unless we're in the car. He hates it unless we're moving.
