Thank you for all your support and discussion on the topic of Ragdolls, and more specifically our sweet Lexus. Here is the latest on our boy:
Our little guy never ceases to amaze me! He flew like a champ to Crystal River, Florida for a TICA show in December. He was the second BEST Alter in the show, and he also earned SUPREME Grand Champion, which is the highest honor awarded! And he's only 10 months old! Thank you to Judge Barbara Kissinger, who made it happen by scoring Lexus as the Best altered cat in his very first ring! She graciously autographed his Supreme Rosette. As for now, Lexus is ranked as the 5th best Altered cat in the Mid Atlantic Region, and 4th best in his breed Internationally! We are so proud of our sweet baby Ragdoll!

WOW! That’s great news! Lexus deserves it so much! I can truly say without hesitation that he’s one of, if not THE most beautiful Ragdolls I have ever seen! Congratulations to the both of you!

Thank you all! This is so wonderful! I'd like to remind you that this is all very new to us. I came here a few months ago with a new baby Ragdoll, knowing nothing... asking you for support. I had to request permission to post in the Breeding and Showing forum since I'm so new! Please accept my sincere thanks to all of you who helped us acheive such amazing results for such a special kitty. We love him so much! We couldn't have done it without all of you! :)

That sounds just fine for me, you take a ragdoll and I will keep your gentle gigant, right? ;) I will provide him with an altar to be properly worshiped :D
Well.....ok then but it has to be a 24ct solid gold worship centre for him. He wouldn't accept anything less.
Something along these lines would suffice as a temporary measure until you built a better one.

MsKatieB MsKatieB I don't need to say how gorgeous your baby is. It's official!
I do plan for more cats in the future, maybe in a couple of years, and I'm impressed with Ragdolls.
They are one of the bigger breeds so that ticks a box for me. My wife loves cats with blue eyes (so do I) so that ticks a big box for her.
So, if you wouldn't mind, please tell me (or anyone with a Ragdoll) what they're like to live with.

I don’t know much about ragdolls (I have the insane hyperactive breeds) but I do know that your boy certainly looks squishable and cuddly. And very cute!!

Congratulations on your show results. It’s a lot of fun to show when you have a cat who does well and it seems like you have one!!

How do I start...I have had a few dogs, and 6 cats in my life. I loved them all so very much. But Ragdolls are all of the wonderful characteristics of all of them in a lovable, loyal package. They crave to be near you, but not in a needy way. They are very friendly, and chill, but still playful. They do the most adorable things, you'll always want your phone or camera near by. They get along with any animal, and they prefer companionship, they are not loners. They are patient with children, and dumb adults (trust me). They will follow you to each room, and learn tricks such as fetching. They are very smart, which catches me off guard all the time. For example, the first time I asked Lexus to get in his carrier, he did! And he has ever since! They will steal your heart and become your best friend and companion.
Drawbacks: they became large and eat alot. They can not go outside, they won't survive. Ragdolls are so trusting, anyone can (and will) pick them up. They are too trusting of threats such as dogs and predators. It's sad to have to leave them when you go somewhere, because you will realize they miss you too much.
They are the perfect pet!

I'm used to that!
They sound similar to my MC so that's good. There's no chance it would go outside if/when I get one. There's always someone in at my place. So, all in all, a Ragdoll is on now my wish list. Thanks MsKatieB MsKatieB you've confirmed what I thought.
