Alicia88 Alicia88 That's how I always figured i would know there were to many. I find I don' even notice them unless company comes bcz everyone is always disbursed out that it seems as if I have 3. I wish I could keep all 4 siblings but I think that's to many. I want to keep the Siamese and the calico but I think I'll end up keeping the 2 in the pic cause tux is not very sociable. I love them all and it's so hard to decide! Callie and tux I found in my dresser drawer asleep earlier. I' not sure how they got in but it was cute cause I did not expect it and they were barely fitting lol.

krisrath11 krisrath11 I have 26 at the moment, but the four little ones have got places lined up in a Cat Cafe that boasts 100% adoption rates.

A lot of the feral kittens were available for adoption for the first year, but after that I stopped looking for new homes for them. It's always easier to re-home the younger kittens and once they've been with me for a year I think it would be too stressful for them to go to another home.

Ask yourself if you have the time, space and money to care for them properly. If you think you do then 5 isn't too many for you.

You have to think about what you'll do if you come across another feral family too. I re-homed a whole litter of cute, healthy kittens, but then ended up keeping the next one I found because she was FIV positive and no one would have been willing to take her on.

It's all good though. I love my cats, I think taking care of ferals is what I was put here to do and I'm more than happy to keep doing it.

I actually have 6 of my own already that are 100% mine. 2 of those are incontinent and require extra care. I just got ducky as a foster (he will never leave bcz there aren't many people who like the Manx syndrome guys like I do and he was made to live in an outdoor enclosure for the first 3 years of his life until the rescue got him. The family I trapped the dad belonged to people who were irresponsible and I asked about neutering and offered to help to no avail. Months later he ends up in my trap over night and he's now neutered and going to his new home this weekend actually. The mom luckily wasn' feral bcz she found me and came here on her own. She's probably staying i would say, she's very much to herself and it almost seems as though she's finally able to relax after a hard life (and she took wonderful care of these babies for the first 2+ months as they were all healthy and perfect weights ECT. I have the 4 kittens to decide on. I wish I could keep them all but I won't. It will be tux and 1 who stay since he's very dependant on his siblings and not a people guy. I trapped everything that was running in my yard finally. I have 1 male to get neutered (haven't had the time off but who cares as long as he isn' cold). I practically live at my vet bcz of the 2 incontinent ones and I've figured out how to be actually thrifty when it comes to them (bob about broke me when he was little with the vet). I'll figure it out, but til then these guys really are fun to have around! Tux is laying up on the pillows beside me, he stays as long as I don't mess with him. He's quite the man lol

The bf and I exchanged presents today and now a lucky someone finally has her very own cat tree!

I think she likes it.
Lari Lari - Lelia is so very pretty, and I'd offer a wild guess that she does like that cat tree. What a long way she's come from having been born feral, to owning her own home. Merry Christmas, Lelia!

My pawsitive is that I just returned home from work and am so happy to see the beautiful photo Lari Lari of Lelia in her new tree. :) Her expression is the sweetest and she is really one of the most beautiful cats I've ever seen. Speedy and R raysmyheart wish Lelia many, many happy adventures in her new, beautiful tree.

foxxycat foxxycat - Pumpkinface and Honeybee are two of the most Loved kitties on TCS, and all of us have missed them in the photo threads this last week or so. I hope that Santa has his camera at the ready on Christmas morning, when they open their presents!

I'm getting some quality time in with Noodles tonight. She isn't satisfied with the flavor I put down for her dinner so she's following me around to show her displeasure. Little does she know she's keeping me company while I do Christmas prep. :p I didn't finish what I wanted to do; but it always works out so I'm not going to stress. I bought some extra drinks (non-alcoholic) so I'm enjoying that while I work and everyone else sleeps. Tomorrow night I will enjoy eggnog while I finish wrapping. That's one of my favorite traditions!:agree:

Presents are all wrapped and we're having Christmas tomorrow at 1. Can't wait for the food! Lol
I almost forgot to wrap the blanket I made for Aislyn. Glad I remembered before I put all the supplies away and had to get them back out.
And the cats are sniffing away at their gifts. I think they can smell the catnip through the paper. We'll probably let Aislyn open them for the like fuzzbutts tomorrow. If they haven't ripped through the paper yet.

Yay...?

Sorry I’m new to this site. (Help)
What is a thread
this is a forum. a forum consists of topics and subtopics. a subtopic is a thread. this thread is for charity and you post pawsitive messages once a day of at least 15 words and ten cents is donated to felines in need. other threads deal with a range of various topics.

my pawsitive message of the day is that everything has remained fairly uneventful around here. and uneventful is way better than 90 percent of eventful things that could happen :) although it may snow tomorrow. and if it does snow tomorrow we got our stray in last week so he won't be outside for it! *tg*
