White Tip... I've never known a more feral cat. Even my vet - who never gives up - said, "let her back outside," and when I refused, he suggested I name her, "Bloodshed."

Five years later, there's no more peaceable cat on earth - she was the first to welcome Friday and Clawed-Ya to their home. She Loves being held and carried around like a baby, and purrs almost non-stop - but she's retained the reflexes of a feral cat, and even the evil Snowshoe won't fool with her. Omnia vincit amor.

When Peanut's asleep, he is nearly triangular,
(Despite that the photo above is rectangular);
He can jump to the counter, he's light on his feet,
He still likes to play, and he still likes to eat,
And none of that's any surprise when you're young,
But in just a few months, Peanut turns twenty-one.
.
Sweet Peanut with his spiky fur :winkcat:

I loved this sweet poem of a sweet cat, so I thought I would offer my own, I hope you don't mind.

A precious cat, the precise shape of a scone,
All perfect and cozy and cinnamon tone.
"What are you dreaming Peanut? A stuffed mouse, a ball or fish by a lake?
Of course, no, I have it. You're dreaming of birthday cake"!

Peanut says (to R raysmyheart )
He thinks your poem's very smart,
He likes the ball, the fish, the lake,
"But is there any Birthday Cake?"
His birthday's just five months away;
He's looking forward to the day
That he'll turn twenty-one, and cheer -
For birthday cake - and a glass of beer!

Agreed, :spew:Capt. Jack will bring the Rum.
donnae donnae - Captain Jack is close enough to attend. Peanut and Lance celebrate their birthdays on the same day, being born only days apart. They'll have been Friends twenty-one years this Spring, and are both still spry and healthy, though they could never keep up with the flying Captain Jack.

We don't know when Gypsys birthday is but last Nov, the first time we took her to be checked out before we started letting her stay inside all night, the vet said she was one or two yrs old. It was just a year ago this month that we started feeding and socializing with her outside our kitchen door.

I'll send a variety of exquisite Belgian beers :beerchug: , Belgian waffles and 44 candles for the cake.

Capt. Jack taking a catnap already this morning.View attachment 201539
Kinda funny how he matches the house decor.
donnae donnae - this is hilarious. I can imagine you poring over catalogues and marble chip samples for months, muttering, "the Nero Marquina is too dark, and the veining in the Portoro Negro is so busy it would detract from Jack's stripes, so we're down to Arabascato Grigio or Astoria Grigio...."

;)
