Last night somebody, I suspect I know who, managed to knock over a flourescent light bulb and of course it broke. No, it didn't just break, it exploded. You see, it was in it's socket, turned on, IN THE CEILING fixture in my sewing room. The ceiling is not finished down there in the basement but still, how the suspect managed to get a four foot long bulb out of it's socket is beyond me. Of course it exploded, it fell all the way from the ceiling to a concrete floor that's covered only in a thin inside/outside carpet. Millions of tiny glass shards everywhere. I've been sewing, my current project is not complete, so the shards were in amongst the bits of fabric clippings scattered over the floor. How no little kitty feet got cut is a wonder.
