Hi there! I just wanted to post this thread to let everyone know that if your kitten or cat has a surgery done (like a neuter or spay) and absolutely hates the cone (refuses to eat or hurts itself trying to get the cone off) there is another option instead of wearing the cone.
You could always put a baby jumper onto the cat which will prevent her and if you have other cats from licking. I did that with my kitten as she hated the cone and would refuse to eat. We also have 2 other cats so it was very hard to monitor all three.
I've attached a photo of how to cut the onesie as the head of the cat goes through where the bum on the baby would be.
The recommendation is that for small cats (less than 6 pounds) try a premie size, for cats 6-10 pounds try a 3-6 month size, for cats over 10 pounds try 6-9 months and for cats more than 15 pounds try a 12+ months.
This is just general rule with the weight/ onesie size but it should help.
And if it is a little tight around the arms or legs, try cutting little slits. The onesie may take some time getting used to it, but they will get used to it! So don't give up!
I hope this helps!
