My girl is 13 and I of course want to feed her the best that's within my price range (around $1 per 5.5 oz can). Currently she's eating 4Health, canned and dry mixed together with a couple tablespoons of water for extra hydration. She's always had dry skin with lots of dandruff, has had a few teeth removed, and last time we went to the vet they said she may become diabetic.
That being said, would anyone recommend a change in diet, and can anyone recommend a slightly higher quality food within my price range? She will only eat pate and is pretty insistent on having a little dry mixed in with her wet. She does not like Wellness, most Blue Buffalo flavors, and TOTW wet food. We tried Authority but she really wasn't pleased, and frankly I don't care to support that store until they stop selling live animals. Chicken Soup was a winner but she refuses to eat the same flavor food for more than a couple days. I've considered trying Nutro Max Cat but it's hard to find it around here and I don't want to buy a case online that she won't like.
