handsome kitty
please post a picture of the cake. It sounds like a lot of work. I bet it's going to scrumptious.
Lol, that is a mess of twisted branches. I want to do my family tree someday. Is it hard to do?Oh, help. I've been climbing my family tree again, and in one section, it looks like one of those braided fruit trees...It seems that my great grandfather, Dr. Jeremiah Elliott married a woman named Fannie Mary Baker. Then Jere's sister Annie P. Elliott married Fannie's brother William, and his sister Katherine married another of Fannie's brothers, John. No wonder Daddy always said that we were closer to the Bakers than most of the other branches. There must be over 100 double cousins running around by now! AND...just to really confuse things, one of Fannie's sisters, Helen, married a man named Moseley. VERY unusual spelling of the name, and my maternal grandmother was a Moseley. SO...Mama and Daddy may actually have been very distant cousins...if so, then the tree isn't only braided, but entwined with the other tree overhead. My head hurts. Must tell Elder Son about this...
If you can afford a membership to one of the family tree sites, Ancestry, FamilyTree, one of those, it is dead easy. They aren't awfully expensive. My son actually has the account and gave me his log in and password so that I can work on it with him. If you know just one or two names, you can start tracking back. And on Ancestry, those little leaves that you see on the commercials really help. I've found pictures of ancestors, a photograph of the old Boxwood Plantation house (now I understand my fascination with gothic arched windows), and all sorts of stuff! We've now branched out into 5 separate trees to keep track of the more interesting branches!!!Lol, that is a mess of twisted branches. I want to do my family tree someday. Is it hard to do?
