Spunky, our poster child for urinary blockage, is finally back from his recent trip to the vet. Three days, catheter, etc. and a whole lot of money. He is also or most finicky eater, and the most stressed over sambo, the new kid on the block. (see pic in pic forum)
Anyway, we need to find a good wet canned he will eat consistently. We have tried hills H/D I believe it is called for hospital stays...lots of fat,,etc. As with the Fancy feast classic (6 dif flavors so far) he just sniffs, maybe a bite, and walks away.
Now if you put down his old Blue Buffalo adult dry he will eat all of that he can get.
So we need to find something he will eat wet.
Yes, we have mixed the others with Blue to get him started but no success. We even tried raw ground chicken which we feed our barn cat colony and supplement to our other 4 in house rescues. Yes, this probably qualifies us as "cat hoarders...8 barn cats and 6 at home!)
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
We are starting the fluid IV for a few days to "flush" his system.
