With so many toxins and other bad ingredients in cat foods, I started to wonder if any one of them is worse than the rest. The idea is if we can only eliminate one of them, which one would it be? So many companies use carrageenan, ethoxiquin (not always labeled), sodium selenite (a synthetic form of selenium), chickens with arsenic, fish with large amounts of mercury, and other toxins it seems some are unavoidable. But if any toxin is worse than the rest and I can't afford to feed something with few or no toxins, what one thing should I make sure no cat food has? Of course I am not saying I will ignore the other toxins just to save money if I have money to spend, but feeding the same thing every day and night just because nothing else is free of toxins would be too expensive for somebody on a tight budget.
