I've been reading some of the other threads here about cat's social hierarchy and their use of heights to show status.
Sometimes, Mischief will take a swing at Trace, not really aggressive, but like he's trying to exert dominance. Because Trace is missing a leg, I've always let him take his meals in a kitchen chair, so the younger cats won't bully him.
So have I actually been "making" him the dominant cat at meal times, and creating the upset in the hierarchy?
