I don't like meatloaf but my dad drowns it in ketchup.
I don't have plain steak very often either (usually cut beef up for something like a stirfry), but a good steak only needs salt. For cheaper steak I like garlic powder too.
Of course I wouldn't say no to butter and garlic with a good steak but I wouldn't cover it in garlic powder like I do with cheaper steaks, lol.
Ketchup and brown sugar for meatloaf. I'm not sure about steak since I rarely have it. I do like having a sauce, but there really isn't any that actually buy, again because I rarely have steak.
